Missed it, i just bought Yokohama last week..

  • +1

How often do they have this deal? I don't need these yet but will soon

    • +1

Look in OzBargain history. I think the last was sometime Oct-Dec

  • Woo hoo. I took a gamble by plugging a tyre with a puncture on the tread which was technically part of the sidewall and hoping this would pop up this month.

  • Anyone know if you can return tyres under the Costco Return Policy for change of mind? Can't see it as an exclusion….

Scathing reviews for the Supercat tyres on ProductReview (par for the course for that website) but also on another tyre review site. Mostly about their poor wet weather performance.

Shame the Alenza’s are never included in the 4 for 3.

Deal is also on tyresales.com.au if you're looking for mobile fitting

    • How does this site work? They deliver to a fitting centre like Bridgestone and they have to fit it for you for free?

      • Yes, or you can elect the mobile service where they come to your residence to do the install.

    • Wow thanks a lot for the tip. Managed to find a fitment centre that offers free alignment and balancing.

4 large Ecopia SUV tyres for $625. Won't get any better than that.

  • Do you have to pay the installation on the free tyre?

  • RE003 are a budget high performance tyre. Wouldn't fit them to my hot hatch.
The newly produced Potenza Sport model might be the first by Bridgestone for many years to approach the current gold standard Michelin PS4S levels of performance.

    • $765 for 4x 245/35/19. Anything better is at least double the price.

These tyres are more than adequate if you're not using your car on a racetrack..

      • Costco had them for $678. My local Bob Jane bet it by a few dollars.

        $167 each, bargain.

      • i've done 220km/h on turn 1 at eastern creek in a MK 3 Renault Clio RS Redbull edition on these RE003s , mind you the traction control was kicking in so i was riding at the limits of the tyres but they arn't as horrible as you are making them sound

I have also gone to the track on a wet day with an On-Demand AWD car (Golf R32) with RE003s and they held up just fine , never felt like i was going to fully slide out.

Not sure what types of driving and what other cars people are putting this on but i have had no issues with them , my only complaints are they are a solid tyre so they arn't the most comfortable but when they are heated up they grip very well.

    • In my size they're priced slightly higher than Michelin Pilot Sport, they're definately not a "budget" tyre !

    • PS4s are good?

I just had some fitted :D

Apparently there aren't any Eagle F1s around anymore.

      • +1

To be clear, apparently the gold standard at the moment is PS4S (note the last s, it's not plural of PS4 - there are also PS4)
Personally I'm happy with the Re003s.

        • Tyres do my head in.

Apparently Costco didn’t have Re003s for me, but S007s.

          • @Manny Calavera: S007 is Bridgestones flagship tyre , it is a step above the RE003s

  • These are awesome tyres, super quiet and more than adequate for most people, l would buy them again.

  • How would Potenza compare to Turanza Serenity Plus? Better or worse?

    • +1

Turanza Serenity Plus aren't as grippy and generally will last longer. They are more quieter.

    • +1

      Potenza = performance

      Turanza = commuter/touring

Serenity plus = long distance touring tyre (hard compound) - high treadwear rating (you will get more KMs on average out of the tyre

RE003 = Summer Tyre (Mixed compound) - low treadwear (you will get LESS KM's on average out of the tyre by a significant margin)

RE003s are better in the wet compared to the Turanza Serenity Plus , comfort levels are near identical as both tyres are of very solid construction.

      • Thanks for the reply. It will help decide which one to get.

  • HILUX. Has anybody put the supercats on a Hilux? Or any 4x4 ute? Are they alright? 90% of the time I'll be on the freeway. But I like to go off road and on the beach when I can. Can anybody say what experience they have had?
