I wanted a good pair of headset and found this. 10% off for Apple product is considered to be good.
Enjoy.

Like most apple products, they’re excellent but inevitably manifestly overpriced. May get downvoted
Fair enough. I get a small premium but $800 is double the price of quite a few top quality wireless headphone options.
Close to double the cost, many of the comparisons are close to the $600-800 anyway. These are far better than mid range QC35/700/XM3/XM4
They main "advantage" (if you can call it that), is they aren't made of plastic like the other options.
Excellent only when considered against most ANC products. Way better value out of the Shure Aonic 50, or even the AKG N700NCM2.
Between bluetooth, and noise cancellation, you lose a lot of sound quality.
These headphones are a bit more overpriced compared to most apple products.

Have you seen the price of the Apple Mac Pro Wheels?
They're good and well designed apart from the carrying case. They are not worth $800 but in saying that people are willing to pay for it.
They aren't going to be twice as good as the Sony XM4's. So if all you want is a solid noise cancelling headphone for work or the train get the XM4.
But if you want Apple ecosystem integration and a solid build design plus have the cash then the AirPods Max are a good product.
"Dankpods" on youtube does a good Aussie review of them.
Conclusion: expensive but very good, so long as you don't get a faulty pair like he did.
10% off an overpriced product is still overpriced. I like the other Airpods and iPhones, their prices are reasonable, eventhough they are priced for the higher end. But these Air Pods Max are really over the top at more than $800. I'd rather a Sony WH-1000XM4 or Bose 700.
Have you used them? They sounds significantly better IMO than the mid range XM4/Bose 700.
Legitimate review from first hand experience as I owned this once :)
Sound stage is quite good, compared to Bose and Sony sound had more sparkle and “breathed” better - ? Larger cup ?aluminium cup - who knows but they did sound better.
But it’s VERY heavy. And clamps hard. Exceptional build quality but way too heavy for long use.
I think it’s hard to find wireless Bluetooth headphone that matches it for price (as strange as that may sound, beoplay is the only one that comes to mind) but like most people, I just couldn’t justify owning $800 headphone on top my already stashed away rarely used collection :)
I think if you are really serious about sound go a little higher to wired senns or save your money and go Bose/Sony compromising a little on the sound. Apple however found this price bracket very well and nailed it (as seen by how well it was embraced by the market).
There is still a legitimate concern by analysts that it may follow the HomePod path but I think so far it is selling quite well from what I hear.
Honestly these are quite ugly, not airpods trendsetter ugly though. Just regular ugly.
While I also think airpods are ugly I think these are much worse, they look like ear muffs.
Can't go wrong with the Sony XM4s, for less than half the cost.
They are in a different class, but, it's true the Sony's are a great choice (for the price).
Dear Diary,
why are these headphones nearly the price of a M1 Mac mini?
regards
bdl
Because the M1 Mac Mini is actually a good value product… these headphones… not so much.
The Focal Elegia are on sale for a few dollars less and actually sound good. Of course you have to put up doing without the Bluetooth disconnects and latency;-)
$800 for headphones?! Are they actually any good or is it the usual Apple premium you're paying for?
