Just use your wife's side of the bed, it will be empty anyway once you bought this

        • Hahaha. Was thinking I’d have to hide these from my partner. No way she’d be happy seeing 3 slabs. No regards for a great deal

    good deal, thank you

Lots of independents sell this for around $38 a case everyday. It's not bad but I prefer Nastro Azzuro.

Congrats to those who got it!
For those who didn't (like me) - order first, think later :)

  • missed out on the Peronis but ordered 3 cartons of Henninger… $81 for 72 bottles isn't too bad. Cheaper than water almost lol

  • Cheers, grabbed 3 Peroni’s C&C Sydney

  • Peronis available still on the GC

  • Ordered 3 for husband thanks op

  • How does the taste compare to Peroni Nastro Azzurro? I've never tried the Red, but really enjoy this one.

    • I prefer the Peroni Green (Nastro Azzurro). The red tastes a little flat, bland and light, which it is at 4.7% alcohol content compared to 5.1% of the Nastro.
The green is much more crisp, more bitterness & fizz (higher carbonation), with a hint of citrus.

If you were to do a blind test, I reckon you wouldn't drink the red after the first glass.

      • Azzurro = light blue

        • hes referring to the glass colour of the bottle i think rather than the label

Red is more like Crown Lager. As per above post, Nastro Azzuro is much more crisp and refreshing.

      • Ok thanks…..I like a Crownie too, sounds like a win either way .

      • haha… Crown? I have not had one of those for a long time but can't say i agree on that. I drank quite a bit of Peroni red in Italy. My only gripe with Nastro Azzuro is its a bit bland and dull, the locally made one even more so (way more so than Red imo, i must of had better batches than yellowfever above), but it is very easy to drink and refreshing.

  • thankyou, got some iron jacks

i only drink tassie beer, the water is so much better

  • There's currently a problem with payments both Paypal and card ….
Paypal payments say "An error has occurred and been logged for investigation. Support has been notified."
Card payments say "There was an error initiating the payment gateway."

First Choice just lost my sale of $179 …. I'm off to bed :(

This beer is great, highly recommend.

Nastro Azzurro has been awful since they started brewing it in Australia, just like Stella, Heineken and everything else brewed under license. I dont think anyone sells the import anymore.. which is why i stopped buying it.

Peroni Red is awesome (and cheap )…

    • Dan Murphys has been stocking the imported original Nastro Azzuro for over a year now. I did not like the locally brewed one either.

      • +1

Ever since Asahi bought Peroni they've been importing rather than brewing locally - think it's been a few years now.

        • yes….my peroni nastro azzuro bought from liquorland 2 days ago says exactly that, brewed in italy and imported by asahi

        • That's weird, since Asahi started brewing in China first, and in last couple of years in AU, and quality massively dropped. I haven't touched it in over two years - is certain Asahi imported now?

          • @StickMan: yes….from the bottle label:
brewed and made in italy by birra peroni, roma
imported to australia by asahi premium

          • @StickMan: Asahi cans still imported from Japan = yum. Bottles China = yuk

          • @StickMan: ah so sorry…you were asking re: asahi, not peroni

    • The Australian-brews all suck because they use the same bad water and sub-par hops. It's at the stage where 100% of the big breweries spit out the same style of junk, and maybe a third of the smaller breweries you can immediately tell it's AU-brew.

  • Oh no … how could I miss this deal … the cashback ended last night :-(

  • Pretty sure I spotted this for 2xcases for $66 at Dan Murphy's today. But think it's a Dan Murphy member offer.

    • Originally dans matched the 3 case offer but there’s a restriction on Peroni red atm at least in my store. So they will sell 2 for $66 while this deal is running, no dans card needed
