I've been searching for a blender for some time now up to the price range of $150 and from what i've seen this is the best value for money especially with free delivery included.

Some specs off the sunbeam website:

800 watt motor - more power

  They had these in TGG for $50 about 2 months back and I got one then. It has been a very good blender, certainly the best I have had. Knocks the socks off the Aldi cheapo it replaced.

    It would seem most of those clones were recalled (certainly Big W and Kmart ones were).. And our Aldi clone had the same fault as the withdrawn ones.

    Considering the many parts those things have this actually takes up less space.

  Good price. I had the previous model - replaced the glass jug for it (due to a crack). This was $38 by itself.

    Yeah it should. Its got 3 speeds the 3rd speed being for ice crushing. Whether it would make a good slushie is whether you over or underblend it i guess lol.
