What there are Australian cashews??? all I see made in vietnam..so the next question who sells Aussie cashews??

    • +5

Where are the $20/kg Australian cashews?

      • this is what i wanna know

Cashew racist? LOL. I don't think I've got more than 10 percent of indigenous blood anyway, these cashews suit me well…

    • I smell sarcasm here.

    • Just one of those things we don’t grow, since they’re a wet tropical plant. Interestingly, one of our largest horticultural exports to our key cashew suppliers, Vietnam and Thailand, is almonds. This is how world trade works and we have goods year-round.

I had the unsalted roasted ones a few months ago. That sunflower oil used in the roasting process made everything taste disgusting. I usually dry roast cashews/peanuts in the airfryer for <5 mins, wait for it to cool and they're great.

Planning to make cashew butter at home, got some yesterday here in Melbourne.

    • Got a recipe?

      • +1

cashews + food processor + 20 mins = cashew butter

        • +1

Thanks!. Is it 20 mins being processed in the processor? I assume the same applies for peanut butter.

  • I was gonna give my new Instagram handle where I post recipes or may be youtube channel to subscribe :D
    You took it away :(

  • Nice

I got some of these yesterday but kind of feel like getting more to last until next sale

    • I made a curry and put a huge pile of cashews on top, fried in a small amount of coconut oil and red curry paste. Was good

I don't like the amount of imperfect cashews in the Woolworths branded one but they're definitely tastier than Costco Kirkland cashews.

    • Kirkies are much more expensive yo!

Just a heads up, not sure if it is a ploy or just a coincidence but a previous time these were on sale (@xmas) I went to purchase some and they had the smaller pack, around 300g, on a large display for this price. I found this size hiding down the bottom shelf. Be Careful lol

      Super tip.

I'd be worried if it didn't contain even traces of nuts, like what the hell would it be made from….!? Flour and flavouring like a biscuit lol?

  • +1

it will be great deal if it is 100% cashews

I love cashews so much that I don't buy it in large qty.. can't stop eating on first day and wiping next day… :-(

    • +1

True, I bought the dry roasted almond instead

  • $12.66 per KG - not a bad buy eh

    • Ah the goold ol days when they were about $9 per kg.
