Navman MY65T $149 at Dick Smith (Online Only)

60

It's apparently half-price, but cheaper than other web/brick and mortar stores:

'Special Web Price' at Mobileciti is $229: http://www.mobileciti.com.au/navman-my65t-in-car-gps-navigat…

The closest price I could find that's comparable is $199 at JB Hi-Fi: http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/portable-navigation/navigatio….

Pretty good features for the price I suppose and the Kiwis seem to like it… :) http://pcworld.co.nz/pcworld/pcw.nsf/mobile/navman-my65t

I thought it was a great gps until it toldme to slow down for school zones on Sydney M4

I found the bluetooth phone function very buggy and slow. I would not recommend this model if you are considering it for this added function.

GPS function was decent but I have to agree with the above post in regards to school zones. It seems like they put a radius zoning system around schools instead of just the single affected street.

    • I agree I ended hacking mine and putting iGo on it

  • what's the best brand
    and recommend model?

    • Everyone has their own favourite, mostly the first one you buy (bit like computers). A lot depends on what features you want.

I have a TomTom Go 720 (old now). Good features - plays mp3's, user map corrections, speed alert, very customisable (voices, map colours). 3 years maps at the moment. Plays through the car radio.

Garmin 2360LT (a previous deal a few pages back) - good as a city GPS (in lots of traffic), but very few extra features. Lifetime maps and traffic. I find the maps not as nice/easy as the TomTom.
