So failing to find objective rules, I would like some opinions please:
What would you consider reasonable to pay for boarding / board and lodging / room and board?
and
What would you reasonably expect to receive when paying that amount?
Boarding is or includes meals, so what would be your expectation of the quality and frequency of the meals?
What about utility access?
Any other thoughts?
Depends so much on location, type of house, is it new or rundown… what facilities exist - internet, etc.
So many variables. Without that information, its pretty much a "how long is a piece of string" question

Well, is it a room in a mansion with everything or is it a room in the run down house that leaks when it rains?

The answer to this will depend on your answer to the first questions and the amount.
Its a bit more in the Space Station than it is in Mt Isa for example.
Where exactly? what exactly is included? What is shared? etc. relationship with person or using as part payment?
What kind of arrangement is this?
Is this living at home and contributing board?
If this is house sharing with others this is rent + expenses.
You expect answers when you only give just a small bit of info and miss the most obvious details.

Could be anywhere from $100 to $500 a week depending on the house, location, housemates and what is included.
Food could vary from a cooked dinner each night but you're not allowed to touch anything in the fridge or cupboard that you didn't buy yourself and you have to buy your own toilet paper / shampoo etc to free range where everything is supplied (this would be more likely if you were living with parents or other older relatives).
Standard I think would be breakfast and dinner, either 5 days or 7 days a week. Coat would depend in supply and demand.
