Pretty much the title - but I'd like it to be an air compressor with an AC adaptor or rechargable, rather than one which needs to be used in a car. I've never owned an air compressor, so I don't really know what I'm looking for. All I know is I'd like it to be reliable enough to pump up balls and pool toys, and that's really about it. The more portable the better, and cheaper the better, but I'm happy to pay a little extra if it means I get a product which is reliable and likely to last longer.
Thanks in advance.
After an Air Compressor for Inflatable Pool Toys and Basketballs etc

for high volume pool tools you probs want a high volume inflator, they are cheap (much cheaper than air compressors). So you can just drop like $20 at supercheap auto or equiv.
The hassle can be the power cable.
Eventually I got a battery powered Ryobi One+ inflator when it was on special (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-volume-inflator-sk…) not worth $69 RRP but if you can get it discounted and you have other One+ stuff it is good not to be tied to a power cable especially for pool toys (where you just want to go and get it done without a lot of setup hassle).
Pool toys should be inflated by the kids using their lungs. Keeps them busy and gives them a sense of accomplishment.
While I agree, my kids are 2 and 6 months, so unlikely to work!
But 9 months gestation?
Keeps them busy and gives them a sense of accomplishment.
A sense of pride and accomplishment.
Not sure about pool toys, but these are awesome for balls and bikes, etc.
have you looked at the good quality foot pumps used for bike tyres??
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Foot-Pump-High-Pressure-Inflater…Inflatables require high volume so your typical 12v compressor will take forever.
I use this an ozito blower to blow up my camping bed and inflatables. Its got all the adapters and handy for cleaning out the tent

it wont do basketballs as thats more high pressure.
I have this one https://www.bigw.com.au/product/coleman-rechargeable-quickpu… works for air mats and pool toys
I had a small high volu m e rechargeable pump from KMart. Lasted years, recently the battery went as it was old.
This time i went with the Ozito, its $89, does high volume and high pressure, its also AC/DC, i.e. battery and power point plug in. So its quote versatile. Has been great.
Ozito PXC 18V 240V Hybrid Inflator / Deflator - Skin Only

The ozito looks great! Looks like it comes with all attachments for sporting balls, pool toys etc.i like that it's ac powered if I choose not to get battery and charger. Thanks so much - will be getting this tomorrow!
Pool toys, inflatables require high volume. A ball can be pumped with pretty much anything. I have a workshop compressor for spray painting, nail gun etc and a quality 12v compressor for 4wd tyres but will use a cig lighter 12v inflator pump purchased for air beds for any pool toys.
Got a budget?
Have cordless tools? You may be able to get a cordless version that runs off your drill battery.
