[VIC] Tommee Tippee Twist & Click Refills 3 Pk $9.75 (Save $29.25) @ Woolworths (Williams Landing)

130

Happened to see this overpriced product on sale at Williams Landing Woolworths. Not sure if it is nationwide.

$26.95 @ Amazon is the the cheapest I could find on the Internet.

TT Nappy Disposal Bin users, fingers-crossed and try your local Woolie.

  • Thanks OP. Do you use this? is the bin and liner any good?
Do you need to buy the liner, or can you use any plastic bag?

They work very well at locking out the smell and allow for easy disposal. However as OP mentioned, the cartridge refills are ridiculously overpriced. The cartridges have plastic nubs that come out of the bottom that the bag relies on to twist.

I've actually been thinking of finding an open ended plastic sleeve to refill them, but it would probably be a pain to do.

Plus they seem quite bad for the environment - the replacement cartridges are massive and all plastic. They really should have a return and reuse program setup.

Overall - easier and more convenient than nappy disposal bags, but you pay for that convenience and so does the environment.

Thank you for asking, first replier of my first post. Lol.

I am an ex-user. I got my bin from the PBC expo and bought several 6 pk refills (the liner is inside the refill part, ) at Babybuntings when it was on sale. I stopped using it when my boy’s dirty nappy supply is reduced and stabilized (around 1 yo).

Honestly speaking, it was really helpful when my son was a newborn who could produce 15+ used nappies per day. It only took me a few seconds to seal the dirty nappy into the bin (You might want to watch how to use it on YouTube) and another good thing about this product is that no unpleasant odour escapes from the bin even if the bin is full of used nappies.

The bin comes with 1 refill (maybe 2, cannot remember). The liner/plastic film is inside the refill part and one refill can accommodates 25-30 dirty nappies. The only downside of this product is the price of the refill is not very friendly.

      I hope I answered your questions. :)

      • I get what you're saying but to add to it:

        Nappies don't stink until solids.
Kids are immobile and lightweight until ~1.. Getting to the bin is easy or take them with you if they get anxious the second you're out of sight.
Sure, middle of the night is a bit different because you don't want to go outside but the bags I linked are very easy

These tommee tippee/sangenic liners are expensive and I warn everyone off them in favour of the 99% cheaper option that I've linked.

There are cheaper third party refills (pootube etc) but man they're still unnecessary and reportedly not so good with containing smell

No doubt this is a great price for the TT though so have a +

      • Thanks I'll give this bin a crack.
My Woolies has the bin down to $12.50 (was $50) including one refill

    Can recommend these guys https://www.econappybins.com.au

We've been buying the refills from them for a few years after being recommended by a mums group.
They were one of the first aftermarket refill kits that use biodegradable film and recyclable packaging etc so trying to do our little bit I guess.
After 3 kids, they've been great

    • We use these guys, great kits.
Def like that their refills are pre-measured at their tear line, easy as.

We made the mistake of getting a kit from another seller and it was just one long roll of plastic so u had to measure and cut the film with scissors.
Ohh and slightly thicker than the original so it was hard to twist in the bin… be wary ozbargainers..
