There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?
What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.
Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

    3 for $99
Good to have a spare shoe. Can I specify left of right for the third?

      3 for $99

It's a good deal for Jake..

  • Never seen the point of uggs with no heels.

    • Easier for the oldies

    • I keep mine under my desk. Slip my feet in and out of them over the course of the workday, depending on my temperature regulation needs.

      Can't stand full-foot woolness,,,

    • I quite like them, my feet get too hot in the full foot ones.

    • cheaper to manufacture

  • So, I've seen plenty of ugg deals here now and then and simmer if the comments are not that good. Is that a general thing with uggs, or it'll depend on the seller/manufacturer? I'm looking into investing money into a good pair of scuffs as I'm tired of buying the$6 ones from kmart and having them break in less than a month. Are these durable? Will the will disintegrate to fast or the bottom get deformed? Thanks!

hey gonzule. yes, your observation is right, this company is regularly posting "specials" to ozbargain. lots of history on these guys, check the previous deal commentaries. i am one of the cohort who had a bad experience with them, so i won't be buying again that's for sure.

      • What brand would you suggest? I have used these ones and were quite happy, although wearing them almost full time during working from home has resulted in the wool on the heal wearing completely off after maybe 4 months, which is probably to be expected. Interested if better quality for a reasonable price out there.

        • i've found a brand i'm happy with, but I'm sure there are heaps of other good brands. I won't post the name of the brand of the ones I wear (otherwise i'll be accused of being a shill), will send you a DM.

      • I believe that yes they had some shit customer experience in the past but they have made significant efforts to win back support from the OzB community by providing refunds/exchanges. There was a forum post on this I think.

Genuine question, is it a case of once burnt never forgotten? Or would you at some point reconsider if the company fundamentally changes the way it handles customer service?

        • Regardless of the abysmal service, it's still a very poorly made product. They are clearly just doing damage control. Don't see why you would come back to them when there is so many other options out there.

        • Hey b2dz, I guess it's three things. First, IMO the product they sent me was not just defective, but just generally poorly made. Second, the service was abysmal - I contacted them three times but got absolutely zero response. Third, when I tried to warn others on here, their rep went me :(

So it was a quality thing, a service thing, and an attitude thing.

It certainly is possible they might have improved since my (and others) experiences, I didn't see the post you mention. And yes, I guess it would be fair to say I now bear a grudge whenever I see them posting their bargains

And about that - it does seem that they use ozbargain as a marketing channel, which I guess is within the rules, but at certain times of the year they posted "bargains" so frequently that it also made me sceptical about whether their bargains are genuine bargains…

    • I’m using a pair that’s 2 years old. Wear them whilst indoors. Very comfy. Much nicer than fake wool.
However, the heal wool has been rubbed off to the skin and the edging around the top of the opening is falling apart slowly.

      Yes I would buy again.

      • I’m using a pair that’s 2 years old.

        Happy Birthday !!!

I bought 2 pairs of these from this seller a couple years ago, and the fluff definitely started coming off over time, so much so that where my heel touches it was pretty much just hard. However, I saw on one of the previous posts that the customer rep was offering to replace them and I got in touch over OzB and a couple weeks later I got 2 brand new pairs, didn't have to send my old ones back, didnt have to pay for shipping. On top of that, the new ones that came seem to be higher in quality (seems to have much more fluff) but time will tell if they hold.

Bought a couple of these recently. Delivery quick. Quality is fine and the personal follow up service was unique/nice. I must admit I laugh at the rage over a $40 pair of slippers almost every time they post. Some people on this site seem incredibly precious.
