  • Again. Nice. Also a reminder that the Woolies (Optus) mobile deal is still valid till 14/1.

BTW, can someone confirm this offer for VIC? I know some people who could use the offer. Thanks.

  • Funny just saw the same thing in Woolies jan 11 catalogue. Also have virgin prepaid broadband 4gb for $19.

    • @wxyz234: Can we use our Everyday Rewards card to buy this at Woolies?

  • Any idea is this is available in Sydney stores? And when do these have to be activated by?

  • Yes, this is available nationally. I swa the have telstra prepaid mobilebroadband for $29.50.

  • Are these available with microsims or only normal sims?

    • You can easily go to a Telstra shop and they will be able to swap it for a microsim

these deals are perfect for a (cheap) month of ipad/ tablet use. just activate the sim (then cut it down to microsim) and use the credit to purchase internet data pack(20$ for 700MB and 10$ for another 300). you can also transfer the credit using creditme2U to any other telstra prepaid ;)

    • you can also transfer the credit using creditme2U to any other telstra prepaid ;)

      Interesting concept.:)

      • So buy a few say five & transfer the credit all to one number. $150 credit for $50 nice!

        • And for $150 you can get the 10gb 12 month expiry option which I got for my tablet.

        • Won't work,only 100Mb per $10.

    • @GregFiona - which Prepaid Offer do you select when you activate?

  • I had trouble finding this with the woolies offer a few weeks ago, only town hall had them and they sold out quickly. Will this be the same with coles? or do more coles stores stock telstra sims?

    • Both Coles and Woolies stock them this time

  • can't find it in my catalogue (in melboune),any ozbargainers in mel to cofirm this offer?

    Sorry, I found it.

  • Anybody tried their luck in getting 1 of this already? I know it says valid from tomorrow but you never know. It's an excuse to get out of the house today…….

  • Can these be activated at any time? i.e. buy it now, activate in December?

It was alluded to in a few posts above but not clear. I want the 10GB prepaid tablet deal which costs $150 so is it practical to buy multiples of this deal and do creditme2u fit each of them? I am pretty sure there is a $10/day limit and each transfer costs you 25c so you would need 6 of these packs. Anyone know if this will work???

It's a good good value for iPad even for a month. Even better if you can figure out a way to lump 6 packs of these as the post above suggested, so essentially $60 for 10 GB with 12 months expiry.

I spoke to someone in Telstra and they said 5x$30 recharge is not the same as $150 recharge - so no, you cannot get the 12 months expiry. Happy to stand corrected if someone can suggest a way…

  • I also posted a similar question to that above in the forums because this deal is now quite a way down the list.

  • Good luck finding them. I went into two Coles stores and two Woolworths and neither had any left or didn't know about it.

    • Yep same with me too.. tried safeways & they had no idea it was on offer & had none for the offer. Gotta try Coles now.

I went to Coles Hurstville and did not see them on the shelf. Then I asked the shop assistant and she pulled them out of the drawer - I then took 6 packs. Cheers

    • Called Coles Mt Druitt and been told they've got some in store. Went and bought 3 packs.. There should be at least 5packs when I left.

So are these sims 3G? most of the $2 Telstra sims you can buy are only 2G

    • LOL, not with you.

Pardon me but how in God's name do you intend to compete with optus

  • had to go to a couple of woolies/coles (some had sold out) but bought a couple of these - thanks OP!
