I was looking for something to spend my BCFing $10 and came across this lovely chair. Has all the hallmarks of a hipster chair, ripe for an Instagram pic.
It's actually $35 but down to $25 if you sign up a new account to BCF before midnight.

I'd say it's pretty redundant at this point and the subculture itself is mostly dead, though aspects of it have been adopted by Gen Z, some out of necessity rather than for redefinition. I'd also say that people under 30 or so probably don't tend to use the term much if at all. It became used as an insult as a response to the air of superiority and condescending attitudes some hipsters developed for liking things that were unconventional. Eventually it became a blanket insult for anyone who liked alternative things regardless if they were pretentious or not. Millenial Subculture 101.
If you've lived in Melbourne, Wellington, Boston or any other city known for hipster culture, it's quite frequently used, regardless of age.

Unsure of this version but looks the exact same.
The bar isn’t wide enough to spread the chair when you put your weight on it. The ones I’ve used in the past have always become uncomfortable as it basically makes you close your legs tightly

Should buy one for my ex
Bought two of identical style from Big W for my pre teen kids which they loved, but unfortunately the mounting points on the cushions pulled out within 1.5 years. So wouldnt expect it to last long time with adult.
