  • showing $22.94 on amazon via the link?

    • I have a checkbox for "Apply 10% coupon" under the price. Coupon applies at checkout

  • For me the apply 10% coupon only shows on the white model. Still a really good deal.

Thanks for the heads up. This will make four Tool AA at home and I've gifted as many with AA battery in them. Great torch, clip it to your cap visor for headlamp. Good with AA, great with 14500 battery. If you use 14500, keep in mind the blue tail switch light will drain the battery faster than you think. I give mine a 1/4 twist to disconnect.

    • Any recommendations on reputable stores to buy 14500 batteries?

Sofirn have some cost effective, though not high performance, 14500 batteries. I have 6-8 of these https://sofirnlight.com/4pcs-14500-batteries-900mah-p0032.ht…

Check out Vapcell Store on Ali Express - I have a bunch of the gold 3A 1000mAh, blue 7A 650mAh and violet 10A 1000mAh H10 model

        • i think he said "reputable." If you haven't heard of it, then by definition it's not reputable.

Is there any good one we could charge directly via usb, torch with USB port?

  • Thanks, bought the black model.

  • is this a lot brighter than the $3-5 ones that look just like it?

    • A Cree XPL LED powered by 3.7V Lithium Ion will be brighter than anything available for $3-5. Even with AA this light is pretty bright - 650 Lumens with LiIo, 270 lumens with NiMH

      • does the torch have both Li-On and AA at the same time?

The $3-5 ones have the option for 18650 or 3xAA. 600lm is also pretty routine.

        • Apples and oranges. 18650 or 3xAA is much bigger.

You can use either 1x14500 3.7V LiIo or 1 x AA NiMH or Alkaline.

The quality and size is not comparable to $3-5.

          • @Sillen: what I'm getting from you is that this is overpriced, or rather there is significant diminishing returns after $5. It might be a little brighter than a $5 torch from China, but not 4X brighter for 4X the price.

@lostn: It's not all about lumens. Build quality, ingress protection, accessories, UI, functionality, aesthetics, etc

You're talking to the wrong guy - I've got a decent sized collection of torches at home, two in transit, two more on order and an insatiable appetite for interesting, cost effective flAshlights. $3-5 (should register that as a brand name) is not a value proposition that interests me.
