    That's pretty cheap cooking wine

You can select from other options. 20% off code works on all wine packs.

I am not a wine expert and I picked this as the main one coz it showed sold for $69 before.

      Agree its rubbish :)

      Yeah very cheap

  • Any good deals in the more premium packs?

    Good Friday… celebration wine?

    • Don’t forget to add communion bread

  • Ta :)

Thanks. Ordered. All the wine snobs calling it "cooking wine." It's been proven time and time again that even those who believe they have a 'sophisticated pallet' are unable to tell the difference between $10 wine and $100 wine. it's pure snobbery.

      But what about $4 wine?

      • +2

Good question. I don't know - these wines cost $4 but i wouldnt say they are '$4 bottles'. If you google them, some of them go for around $15 to $20 individually.

Sort of… the SEA wines are normally from left over uber discounted grapes from anywhere and can be pretty rough. An occasional gem in the mix (if they score decent grapes), but as a general rule, not great, but hey The RRP is about $4 each. The Ultimo in that mix should be an ok cheapie probably valued at around $7.

Agreed, whatever they say, if it doesn't kill, I drink it

I’m easy to please and I like these wine packs. Just bought another 2 boxes.

Horses for causes or how do they say? I love a good/decent wine and have spent my fair share on $10,$20,$30-$150 Wines (but always on sale/discount otherwise I can't handle it).
But I have also bought the occasional "budget" pack. Today I have ordered the "Shiraz Red Wines Mixed", 12 bottles for $79 before /$63 after discount.
That is $5 a bottle and in my experience most of these they are good enough to "wind down" on a week night (even chilled properly) or when you and your visitors had a couple of the expensive bottles, just can't get enough but anything > 5 bucks would be a waste as no one would notice the difference any longer….(depending on the visitors of course ;-) )

Just for the record, Good Friday is a commemoration but not a celebration. Imagine a commemoration of the massacre at Gallipoli labelled as a ‘celebration’ with a grog shop cashing in. Furthermore, Christians are forbidden to consume alcohol on Good Friday. Downvoting for lack of taste and respect for others’ religious beliefs (FYI not mine).

    • Are you trying to compare an actual historical event with an imaginary friend story? I have no issue with whoever does what on Friday. As long as it isn't at the detriment of others. I thought that's what respect is?

Despite cobberboy's inaccurate generalisation about Christians and alcohol on Good Friday, I think that for no other reason except an opportunity to troll your reference to an 'imaginary friend' shows that you really need to continue to develop your understanding of what respect is.

Yep, fair cop. I was in a bit of a mood and not impressed with everything I'm hearing around religion lately, and definitely see no comparison to Gallipoli. While I honestly don't have any respect for religion, I should respect others values of it. Sorry Op, this post should be about cheap wine!

          • @tunzafun001: I celebrate gallipoli. If our great grandfathers didn't charge the turks, who knows how the great war would have ended? It would be a very different world if not for the bravery of the heroes at battles like gallipoli and beersheba, and I celebrate their lives when I remember them on anzac day and remembrance day. Both great days for a barbeque and a few drinks!
