Canon 550D - Please help to get the best deal.

I trust that this is the best place to get the advise for getting the best deal on Canon 550D. Below is the homework which I have done till now :

Requirement : Canon 550D + 18-55IS Lens + 55-200 IS lens ( Body with twin IS lens kit)

I have looked into various deals and below is the summary so far. Please note that I would be travelling overseas very soon so I am looking forward to get the TRS ( Tax refund scheme) option also.

JB Hifi OZ stock - $893 = after applying TRS it would be : $811.11 + Canon Australia Warranty

I am sure there would be some other good deals also going on which I am not aware of. So I really need your help to get this sorted out

So what do you think is the best deal ? Or if you have any other suggestions.
Any idea if there are sone good DSLR sales on the way !!

  Some very questionable experiences using DWI by OzBargain users and the WP community. Personally I'd look elsewhere to save you from the hassle.

    That claim on Whirlpool regarding credit card scam is just misleading and deceptive.
    You should read the thread as the claim refers to fake DWI E-bay accounts.
    
    If you believe that DWI can cheat you on a credit card online transaction, then you aren't a true Ozbargainer as well as you should go buy to HN Mayer JB etc. etc.

Becuase if retailers like JB gives a discount of 10% approx on $893 then its almost close to what I would be getting from DWI..so that would be good..

just saw that DWi have increased the price from 715 to 722..i thought AUD is getting strong so the price should come down !!

I bought a 600D (Kissx5 "Japanese Model") with lens kit for $659 with Lens kit. Maybe that would be a cheaper alternative, plus you get a swivel screen compared to the 550D

  Thank you.the price looks good..but was after twin lens kit as it is more economical then purchasing the lens later..went today to jb and they had 600d twin lens kit for 987$

Ok just did some more research…can anyone please confirm if The Good Guys will do a price beat with JB Hi Fi ? JB has the kit for 893 and TG has it for 1140. If I buy it from TGG for 1140 and then ask them to give back the 120% price difference from JB HI Fi will they do it as per their 30 days price guarantee claim ? Has anyone used their 30 days price offer?

Finally got the camera from JB Hi Fi for $804…since i would be travelling to overseas soon so I am planning to avail the TRS which will make the deal as $730..not bad deal for an OZ stock camera !! Just watching the Steve's SLR course DVD and playing with the newbie !!

I would like to thank all of you for your valuable comments and suggestions !! Appreciate that !!
