I need help or advice on how I can get my money back because I selected a drink and inserted my $20 note into the machine and didn’t dispense anything nor returned my change. So, what’s the best solution on dealing with this situation?

I guess this is why you carry a window smasher with you just in case of these…..should have had brought a sledge hammer with ya and give the window a good whack and it should shatter into little pieces, make sure not to cut yourself on the glass or step on it with your bare foot - they will hurt and cut like a bloody knife! Then grab the drink (drinks now that the window's all smashed up to the value of your $20 or if you want more of a compensation, get more than what you should have got with your $20 should the vending machine dispenser worked….

In one of my old workplaces a vending machine ate my money. It was a large workplace, people told me it does it often. So I punched the vending machine just above where the money comes out and I got about $6. I done it once more and I hit the jackpot ding ding ding. I took my change and left the rest to the other co-workers - win/win.

I had this happen to me. It was $2. I walked away in defeat but just as I did, the person that refills the machine arrived. Got my drank.

That vending machine has a better selection of drinks than my local woolies.
Also, never had a vending machine suck my money erroneously but have had multiple drinks dispensed for the price of 1 many many many times.
It happened to us at Westmead hospital, machine took my $20.
I turned the machine off at the power point and turned it back on and it spat out my $20. Was very happy it worked. I'll never use those things again
