Lo and behold, this is the deal that everyone is waiting for to stack with the eBay Afterpay sales that are flooding ozbargain atm 😀

BIG W is having a Easter promotion: 10% back in Everyday Rewards Points on select gift card purchases. This is much better than the pathetic 1.5% gift card discount from CashRewards via Choice GC. These gift card will probably be sold out soon after this post with the eBay sale is still going so you will probably have to be quick. They are available for purchase in store only.

The best card to buy is the $100 Swap Celebration Gift Card. Each card purchase will earn 2000 bonus Everyday Rewards Points worth $10. You can then exchange it for a $100 eBay Gift Card for use in the eBay Afterpay sale.

You can also buy the $50 Swap Celebration Gift Card which will earn 1000 bonus points worth $5.

The $100 Perfect EFTPOS Gift Card will also earn 2000 bonus points but there is a ridiculous $6.95 purchase fee. This card is useful if the store does not accept payment by credit card, such as Bill Pay @ Australia Post.

Tips

    Thought I'd share the love for those in Melb.
    I live close to the city, after ringing around a few stores I managed to find swap cards at Sunshine @ BIg W.
    There was around 10 or so $50 'celebration' ones left on the rack.
    If you are close by, try there!

    Geelong big W still has a stack off $50s left and a couple of $100 since I left half an hour ago.

    Anybody try purchasing more than 10 Swap cards on same Everyday rewards card? I realise T&Cs state max 10 - but sometimes this is not enforced

      Bonus points should show on the screen, so if you don't see the bonus point then just cancel the transaction.

    Guys don't go over 10 of each type of giftcard on 1 Rewards card . Max is 10 X $100 and 10 X $50 .
    Double check someone this is the first time they have a strict limit of 10 . Past you could blast forever on a card even though they said that limit .

    I have a hack for Woolies/bigw/bws employees that is similar to the post i posted on the Wish card promo (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/611135?page=1#comment-1022…).

    I purchased a $500 (plus $7.95 purchase fee) Only1 visa gift card and got the staff 5% discount, which cost me $482.95 ($17.05 saving). I used that visa card to purchase the $500 ($100 x 5) worth of Swap Gift Card for $475 (after 5% staff discount), which gives you a balance of $25 on the visa card. So you end up with a saving of $67.05 plus you are left with $25 on the visa card.

      you need to check your math.
      your cost: $482.95
      your value: $500.00 of swap GC + $25 of visa gift card = $525
      profit =$525-$482.95 = $42.05

      Some ppl reported that you can use 8 gc after trying a few times, you will get error at first and try again and it works so it may worth a try. I remember I can use 8 gc with coupon code but it was a few months ago.

    Canberra City and Airport Big Ws are sold out of $100 Celebration Swap cards (I got them). Airport still has plenty of $50s.
    Just swapped them to eBay and bought the $600 Xiaomi scooter, no dramas. Use the PIN not the card number on eBay.

      IMO, Petrol is the most valuable thing to redeem pts on.

      Redeeming pts on a normal rewards card is disadvantaged by 5% @ Woolies/BWS, 10% @ Big W to a staff rewards card, but equal at Woolies servo.

      it has been stopped long time ago. You can only use your points for Grocery shopping or fuel.
