baby monitor advice

Hi,

I am after a good quality/price baby monitor. Any recommendations?
I was advised that product would do the trick… https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Tapo-Detection-Control-C20…
Any feedback? Dune day going for an actual baby monitor is better…

Thanks

  • Not on topic.

I dodgy mate of mine a few years ago was importing baby cameras with inbuilt smoke detector and smoke detectors with inbuilt spy camera.

  • Very pleased with the tapo c200. Very good IR in the dark. Works great with a Google nest hub unlike wyze cams.

  • +1

We used the older version of this.

Both are 7 years old and we are still using it for our 7 month old now.

    • Yes, we had the baby sense 2 and it gave us great peace of mind - more so than a camera. It only started to false alarm once baby started sitting up in bed on a regular basis. For the camera we used a wifi one from Kmart which is great but got this after the baby sense. There’s a lot available second hand on marketplace etc.

  • Pretty sure this is the one we have

Came prettyhighly recommended on here so really didn't look at anything else.

    Fantastic monitor, can't fault it.

    • Agreed, something like the traditional cameras work wonders. Stuff getting your phone out etc to check on baby, dedicated monitors just make life easy

      • Also fewer security concerns - much less likely to be hacked

We have this one, almost 3 years going strong with daily use.
    Highly recommended.
