Unidays has better deal
Saw this on amazon thought it would be helpful to put this on Oz bargain.
Unidays has better deal
Slightly cheaper here if you have eBay Plus
And can stack with 5% off gift cards through Cashrewards I suppose.
Post it?
Done :)
Not bad for those who don't have unidays
Plenty of people on ozbargains has access and willing to PM a code to access the discount.
This or QC35 II?
The 700 is better
How so?
not saying it's better, but it has passthrough mode and touch controls (if you like them).
I have both. Honestly, I don't use either of them much because I'm trying to prevent them from auto updating the firmware which is known to cause issues. The QC 35 doesn't require the app but the 700 does. The app will auto update the headphone firmware, so I can only use it when offline. I can use the QC35 II because it doesn't need the app, but the app is already installed so..
@lostn: Using Bluetooth headphones requires their app to be installed? That sounds odd.
@hotphil: You need to use the Bose music app for the 700 on your phone/tab.
I only use it when offline, but that means no youtube, amazon prime or netflix.
@lostn: Thought I'd just check the manual - they can be used as just Bluetooth headphones (page 42). The app looks to give you some configuration you might not get over Bluetooth. Might be worth ditching the app if you're worried about it updating firmware.
I will choose QC35II, if it is $150 less.
How does this compare to the TaoTronics BH085?
Night and day, this is far better
Better, but not 6X better.
Tao are actually good but still only 60% as good as the 700s.
Come on lazybums, Why is this overrated than the eBay/Catch deal despite cheaper price
Didn't buy this myself but the eBay deal requires eBay Plus which is $49/year, and the Catch/Unidays deal requires an educational email address to access.
For only $15-20 more here you get Amazon's strong delivery/customer support service and don't have to have anything extra to get it.
Quite easy to ask for a UNiDAYS code. There is 6-8% off gift cards making it more than $15-$20 discount on Catch. Even better if people bought 15% off gift cards. Ebay pays you $50 voucher to sign up for a $49 service. 5% cashback on buying ebay gift card also makes it more than $15-$20 discount.
can you give me a unidays code?
Not really. We are talking about more than $60 difference unless the strong delivery/customer support outweighs it for you
it's 399 vs 358 if you can get a code, so $41.
@lostn: plus discounted gift cards
Now that the Unidays price has dropped to $358 my comment is not as valid. Everyone should try and find a way to access that deal posted by hazma23 below now
For those subscribed to this thread, who haven't purchased yet: [UNiDAYS] Bose Noise Cancelling 700 $358.20 + Delivery (Free with Club) @ Catch.
Shopback is also doing a 10% cashback from catch today so that is a better deal then this amazon offer.
It's an either/or scenario, between Cashback and Unidays. Unidays could be a slightly better option as it is on inc.GST whereas Cashback is on ex.GST
do they let you use codes and still get cashback?
Only codes listed on their site so i doubt the unidays code will work. However, it can't hurt to try.
@ialam99: in any case, SB is not a place I trust to honor cashbacks. Even if it tracks, or they manually add it, it takes so long to be final that you just forget about it. And then when you check back months later, you find it was rejected and you weren't notified, and now it's too late to chase it up.
No rush, there is a cheaper everyday deal.
