Just looking for some options for couch alternatives, as they are so big and bulky they can be a pain to buy/ get rid of and transport. Thought about one of those big foam bean bags but they look just as bulky/ heavy, and the small regular ones aren't very comfy, any other easy alternatives?
Couch or Lounge Alternatives?

What about something flat pack that you can just assemble and disassemble as needed?
That could work but the mattress part cant really be flatpacked?
Wait, do you mean the couch cushions, or are you after a sofa bed with a mattress?
Couch cushions on flat pack couches are usually each individual seat, so a three seater would have six cushions, three seats and three backs.
Each cushion is easy to carry in terms of weight and size.
Maybe a Tatami folding chair? Eg. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32898913250.html
Hammock?
with hammock stand?
futon?
That is where I would look.
I have a few of these in my lounge to save space without compromising comfort

Good reviews on comfort. Pack it up when you don't need it for a few days.I have one and highly recommend. Very solid and very large. Nothing like the tiny cheap crap couches at IKEA. Throwing away the packaging took longer than assembly.
We got one of these from the scratch and dent area of IKEA. It is really quick, and easy, to convert to a bed. It is a touch firm so we have a padded underlay for it.

Beanbag
Get something off the side of the road (buy a 2 by 4 from bunnings to get free trailer for two hours) and when you want to move, chuck it back on the side of the road. Or buy something cheap from gumtree (same advice about trailer) and list it for free or cheap or leave by side of the road. Or sell to the landlord or next tenants. Buy again when you move. Wouldn't bother ever transporting a sofa to a new house unless it was expensive - of which mine have never been - my last four houses, two were finds from the side of the road and they ended up being picked up by a clearance auction (one) and the other I paid to have someone collect and take to the tip (rural location so no "side of the road" to speak of). Two came with the house as I bought from previous tenants and previous owner. Third still in that house (tenants were happy to have it as part of a furnished house), fourth is in the house I live in now still. Never had to move a couch beyond collecting from the side of a road :-)
