Saw these on special at Kmart so bought one to try out for fun as I have a lot of joycons.
These are surprisingly solidly built and light up Red when charging and green when fully charge.
Holds 4 joycons at once too.
Going to grab another to use them as displays for my joycon collection.
I noticed the light is most emitting at the top, so worst case you could put some semi clear tape over it.
No charging cable (USB C) is included.
I'll just stick with charging through the switch.
Have never been a fan of any third party electronics
Just always some massive drawback or so unreliable
For $8 bucks it works and not a bad stand for the controller's
Today I bought a hanging drawer attachment for a shelf. I told myself "it's only $5, if it's bad I'll just throw it out"
For $5 I ended up with scratched shelves and something I need to take the effort to dispose of.
So it really depends!

all stock has been pretty much cleared out, saw a guy grab like 10 of them.
Asked him what he wanted so many for and he said it was a good joycon stand for his collection as he collects joycons.
My local store still had a bunch left on the shelf.
Heads up, there's no way to change the brightness of the light. Once moved mine into a cupboard because it's bloody distracting when trying to watch a movie in a dark room. Otherwise no issues.
