I saw a property that has an auction on a Wednesday at 6.30 pm. Just wondering why would someone do it on weekday. Is this normal?
Is Having an House Auction on Wednesday or a Weekday Normal?

I think there is a bit of a squeeze on with Auctions with people going away at Easter.
It used to be common enough to have In-Rooms Auctions at twilight or if the Property had Views of the Sunset near the Coast or of the City Lights.
Now everyone is doing it.
The market is on fire. FOMO will ensure that the right kind of buyers shows up.
Maybe auctioneer busy on the same week. 🤷♂️
New Normal
not same, one happens on Wednesday the other on Saturday
It's a good idea I reckon. So much 'competition'/craziness on week-ends at the moment. It's not as though any serious prospective buyer would say/think to themselves 'I was planning to buy this joint, but I'm not going to now because the auction is on a Wednesday' …
Yea that way only buyers turn up, not bored MAFS viewers…
Usually they are held in the agents office or other conference area and done at the same time with a few other auctions at the same time.
As a buyer weekdays give the best prices
Based on what information/source?

Chuckle … Oh, thanks for clarifying. Initially I thought you were referring to actual information, not just a 'subjective/personal anecdote'.
lol. do you think that someone who wants to buy the house won't attend an auction on a weekday?
might be a good idea might be bad
good - you'd get a more concentrated crowd there, instead of being spread across 10 auctions on a weekend…
bad - actually getting time off work
