Yes but hers isn't the anime version
Would you mind posting CrystalDiskMark results? The firmware version is different… obviously the AU version doesn't have the UK version firmware.
@ozbargainer666: Thank you. The results are roughly the same as the review I saw. You were able to get slightly better sequential write results.
@netsurfer: Maybe the data size is different in the review? In his screenshot it's set to read/write only 1gb of data which is probably not exceeding the drives faster cache area.
can you get a cable for these to plug in via USB-C instead of big USB style?
You can use a hub or adapter
K-Mart sells an adapter for $5…
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fast-Type-C-Male-to-USB-3-0-Prem…
or
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/USB-Type-C-OTG-Adapter-Cable-USB…
It says for macbook but will work with Windows devices too.
Or if you're game enough to open it, you could probably replace the internal USB-C to USB-A with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
So given the performance isn't great and HDDs are a lot cheaper are people buying this because they are more robust than HDDs/they are worried about dropping their HDDs?
HDD isn't really available for $49. So while HDD can have higher capacities for only a bit more this is still good value.
i bought this because its 500GB that is now shared storage on my modem
Can you please share how did you do this?
Buy USB hard drive / memory stick, plug into USB port of modem.
In modem config website enable file sharing.
Access modem from client machines \192.168.1.1\ replace the IP with your modern IP
This arrived for me the other day, super small and light (in comparison to a HDD anyway).
Bought one TA
Thanks for the heads-up, OP!!
The other colour is $117, so this is a good saving if you want a portable drive with non-moving HDD in this size.
Also, if you just want one without paying delivery, add a $5 + $2 The Smith Family donation at checkout, and that brings it over the $55 free delivery threshold, and helps out school kids in need too :-)
Amazon cancelled my order

Horrible drives. Expected faster write speeds than my USB portable hard drive, but nope. Sequential 15GB file transferred at around 75MB/s on a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. Read speeds are faster, but write is more important for me so I'm very disappointed. At the retail price I'd feel gutted.
Starts at 180mb/sec but drops to 75-80mb/sec after 5 seconds on mine too.
Crraaaaap I missed out
Enough people here complaining about the write speed that they will probably sell you theirs at a loss. I'm keeping mine though.
The shock-proofness is the min thing for me on the go and the read speeds are good. Not sure why people are worrying so much considering the cheap price
Incase anyone was wondering.. Yes these drives can be shucked!
Made a forum post: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/613291I tried to order but forgot Officeworks never lets me order and cancels with "security reasons" that they refuse to explain over the phone.
Managed to get two at my local store. I've had a couple of platter external drives die on me lately.
I know I'm late to the party; but thank you, OP.
