Presumably they don't use Linak parts in their desk otherwise they would've advertised it as such (good selling point).

Based off this comment might be better to stay away from Jiecang products, at this desks pricepoint its almost the same as the cost of a Linak desk.

Can't tell for sure if it uses Jiecang parts but the controller looks like a slightly modified version from Jiecang's website so I'd assume it makes up the whole desk.

Thanks OP. Set mine up today and I'm dead set impressed with how sturdy it is, even at height. Got the 1500mm option + PC mount. PC Mount was trickier than I'd have liked to install (namely because I was so nervous about drilling too far/too small and making lumps in the desktop), but worth it as means the desk space is clear and nothing on the floor.

A colleague has one of the officeworks sit/stand desks, and its nowhere near as sturdy at this. Glad I shelled out a few more bucks.

    • How's the PC mount? It looks great but I worry about my precious PC falling.

      • Seems very solid. I've got a narrow htpc case in there - so its.a bit skinnier than the minimum width of the mount, but with some packing cardboard, holds secure. Attaches to the desk via 4 heavy duty screws which you need to drill for.

        • That's reassuring, thanks. I figure if I get worried enough I can always drill through and attach via bolts.

          • @Fuzzy Toaster: You wouldnt want to drill through and put bolts in - it's the desktop you'd have protruding bolts and look awful. The desktop itself isn't thick, so countersinking bolts wouldn't be a great idea IMHO.

The screws are heavy duty - I'd be staggered if they didn't hold. Worst case you could attach further screws into the heavy duty bracket and/or strapping around the whole bracket to provide backup and affix that to the desk.

Good luck anyway. I'm very happy with the desk.
