Abandoned Animals in Fukushima – I Made a Charitable Donation

I saw on the news last night about a man who is feeding abandoned animals in Fukushima, and felt that I would like to make a charitable donation.
A Google search indicated that https://www.heart-tokushima.com/ assisted him, and so I donated to them via Paypal with a note saying “Please take care of Abandoned animals in Fukushima”.
I have just found a 5 year old article at:-
https://www.boredpanda.com/fukushima-radioactive-disaster-ab…
Below this article there is a comment that donations can be made to
http://ganbarufukushima.blog.fc2.com/
I don’t know if this donation channel is still applicable.

THAT comment is very uncharitable. I would like others to contribute but was hoping to not receive critism for touting for a charity. Maybe I should have worded it differently, but no matter how I worded it, I suspected that it would attract trolls.

You're projecting. I think you're the one that expected praise for your pointless comment.

@kanmen: No, I just call out mindless self-indulgent wankery disguised as noble virtuousness when I see it.

I'm pretty sure you don't see me making an entire thread dedicated to how much of a white knight I am for making a donation to a charity; you know, something literally millions of other Australians do every single year?

Lol, the things people want a pat on the back for these days. I donated to WorldVision for 8 years; never once felt the need to bring it up in conversation like it was something unbelievably extraordinary.

@kanmen: He's the beacon of light that should guide us all apparently. ahaha

@Heaps for Cheaps: I honestly don't know why this post has this person tied up in knots, it's not that hard to ignore the post and move on but apparently this pointless 2c was required. Apparently OP shouldn't try to raise awareness about an issue and encourage donations

Thanks for sharing the links. It's cool people can spend their time selflessly helping.

    i'm glad he's still going
    i worry for that guy
surely he is sacrificing his own health to help those little ones

He was told it could kill him in 30 to 40 years, but he is 50+ so he said he didn't care and would rather do it than young people doing it.

What a man what a man what a mighty good man. Yes he is.

I wasn't aware of this, so thanks op. These kind of issues need more awareness. Ignore bitter people who lives suck.

I was trying to spread the information about the charity, and show how much I believed that it is legit.
