    They all. look. so. bad.

  • when i add them to my cart only 1 shows up as free…

    • +1

You have to get them one transaction at a time (after registering) :-( Also I tried getting Burger Rush with the coupon and it didn't work (Says it can't find it although it is there on the site)

  • Daydream is correct - purchase 1 at a time
Burger Rush worked fine for me plus the other 4 though Super Text Twist did not
    Might try again later

Nicely timed for School holidays - Thank you OP
My wife and kids like the Hidden Object games so Little Shop of Treasures is sure to be a hit

  • Do the downloads include the installer? I want to save these for the kids laptop and not install them on my pc.

Edit: Oh i guess not, that rules me out, my kids computer isn't set up yet so it seems like a little to much work for some lame games, that is if they even able to transferred at all…

"Protect your game purchase with Purchase Protection

We understand that our customers may encounter any number of computer problems, from viruses to hard drive failures, or simply changing to a new computer.

That's why we offer Purchase Protection to give you peace of mind:

Never worry about losing your game downloads again. We will retain a backup copy of your digital file for 2 years.
In an instance where you cannot redownload your game and the game file is no longer available, we will reimburse your full purchase price for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase.

(Note: The GameHouse standard refund period is 7 days.)

Purchase Protection covers every game in your shopping cart at time of purchase."

    • Download is only the 1.5Mb installer for each game which when run downloads/installs the game (after offering you a free Norton download which you can untick). After running the installed game for the first time you have to register the game with your account/password to play the full game. Free is good but a lot of effort for these and you might be sick of them after 10mins.

I'd suggest download and play the trial. If interested then make the effort to create an account and "buy" using the coupon link to be able to activate it as full.

    • You can download on one pc and install later on another - I have done it a few times in the past
The download doesn't include the installer - it is a 'loader' app
Will need net connection so you can download the remainder of files during install and to verify the game
Verify uses your email and password you set up when you register

As to quality - these type of games are not high end graphics etc
Neither looking back was Sega, NES etc I guess
Some are quite fun and playable - especially for kids etc
If that's not for you - no harm done at the price

These look like the kind of games you can download free from any decent games site.

Well if you know such games sites, why aren't you sharing them here on OzBargain?? I agree that games similar to Super Collapse 3, Super Bounce Out, a match 3 like 4 Elements etc can usually be easily found for free, but Little Shop of Treasures is a hidden object game, & they're usually not available for free download, although GameHouse quite often has them as their "Game of the Day", which is free-but-supported-by-ads.
So seriously, if you have sites which have good games to download for free all the time, please share!!!

Let's see. From a quick Google search, I see that you could try www.miniclip.com, www.free-games.net, freegames.org, www.freeonlinegames.com. www.free-games.com.au states that it's a ranked directory of free games.

If you're keen on hidden object games, try games-free-online.net/?a=hidden_object_games (yes, I searched Google using "free hidden object games". It was really hard. There were quite a few other results, but do I really need to type out your homework for you?

Did I mention that Microsoft offers free games? You may want to check out the Games for Windows Marketplace sometime. It even has a free Game Room (that I haven't had a close look at yet).

Of course, you can also check out the downloads at places like Gamespot, or if you're interested do a search for abandonware.

Have I done enough of your homework for you?

        • Yes, well clearly some people believe anything & everything they read on the internet…..
"www.free-games.com.au states that it's a ranked directory of free games." I can state that I'm the Attorney General of the USA, that doesn't make it true!!
www.miniclip.com - online only playable games, none of which are hidden object.
games-free-online.net? Please, if I wanted to play crappy online flash games, I'd make them myself.

          <sigh>.

I'm sorry I can't cater to your every whim, amy_c. The logical solution would be for you to actually put a minor amount of effort into finding the free games you are interested in, rather than whining that I haven't pointed out the perfect free games for you.

All I did in my previous post was demonstrate how easy it was. I assumed the average Internet user would have the necessary skills and initiative to go on from there rather than just complain about a couple of the suggestions I made.

Again, I should point out that life isn't about having someone holding your hand all the way. You need to look around for yourself and find what you're interested in rather than just whining and voting down comments that don't fit your pre-conceived notions.

    • Pardon me, but was it not you "whining" about how the games looked like the kind you could download free from any decent games site?? I merely pointed out that since you seemed to know of so many sites, you could share them with fellow gamers on OzBargain. Clearly you took that to mean "please google free games"….

  • Super TextTwist is actually a fun game (simple enough even for my parents to enjoy it). Play it if you're a fan of Letters and Numbers on SBS (I'm sure you all watch it already! http://www.sbs.com.au/shows/lettersandnumbers).
