Is Virgin Australia Lounge Currently Honouring Complementary Lounge Passes?

Couldn't find the answer to this in forums

Is Virgin Australia lounge in SYD/MEL honouring the complementary lounge passes currently?

I know they are open "in a reduced hours capacity"

    No idea about SYD or MEL but I used two passes the other day at the new Virgin lounge in Adelaide.

    All of VA's open lounges (which is six of them except for Canberra) should be taking complimentary passes.

    Somehow I trust ozbarargainers who’ve had first hand experience in this ever changing environment more than someone in a call centre (working from home) on the other side of the world after waiting on the phone for 45 mins!

    Any extension on the expired physical cards? Everyone with an ANZ travel rewards in 2020 would have 2 useless entries.

      "Complimentary Lounge passes that expired between 24 March 2020 and 30 November 2020 have had their expiry date extended by Virgin Australia for 12 months. For example: if your lounge pass was due to expire on 30 October 2020 it will still be accepted at the lounge until 31 October 2021."

      That said…I tried to use mine recently…got knocked back (CBR), didn't try argue as I was boarding in 5 minutes anyway. In MEL the guy accepted it, then noticed it had expired and I was ready to argue my case but then he said that is fine (not busy) and let me in anyway…

    Used them a few weeks ago in Melbourne. These were physical passes redeemed via credit card.

    I just did a look around. Virgin money lounge passes and anz travel rewards lounge passes are still being accepted up to 12 months past their due date.

    Now to find out if Qantas or priority pass are doing anything similar…

    The websites say bar service from 12 am now. Can you get a beer before that in the lounge?
