  • As you mention lifetime, I assume renewals are at the same price?

    • +1

If you were taking a 3 year plan, you'd hope that in 3 years the renewals would be cheaper or the features increased - assuming Moore's Law still exists.

      • +1

Actually, hosting is not just about Moore's Law. The biggest expense for a Data Centre is cooling, which uses electricity. So in three years, if the prices of utilities such as electrify and gas go down, the prices of our products would go down too. However, based on past performance, these costs do not go down, and instead go up. Therefore by paying for a 3 year term, you lock in the price for that period as well as renewals. Has your electric bill gone down or up in the last 3 years? I hope that makes sense :)

      • One thing I forgot to mention: YES absolutely the features would increase. SSD drives would have more space and allow us to upgrade the space on our plans.

  • +1

Yes, renewals are at the same price!

    • I will be happy to help! Can you open a ticket from the website so we can find the domain and help with you order? I dont want to ask you to post your domain here.

    • OK, the issue you were facing has been fixed and you should now be able to transfer the domain. This was due to a specific port for .com.au WHOIS lookup had been blocked during our last server security audit. I have now updated our audit processes so this will not re-occur. We apologise for the inconvenience caused you.
