Purchased this from Amazon and arrived in 2 weeks. It has cooled down my 5800x from 70~ to about 45~ degrees celcius on idle. It fits well in my NR200P with mesh panel and just barely pokes out about 1mm with TG panel.

    Great CPU cooler!

What were you using to have 70 at idle?

      • Temporary Wraith Prism

        • Jeez, no wonder AMD stopped shipping them with Ryzen 7's

        • very surprising, im having idle 35-40c with prism room ambient 22-25c on 5800x

          • @Abang Tukang Bakso: That doesn't sound stock lol. Sounds like a substantial undervolt + chipset stuff. Stock on stock cooling is 60's for sure idle at about 25 ambient

Does this fit with the NR200P TG panel?
Or do you mean it's 1mm too tall, so TG panel won't fit?

      • It will fit NR200P perfectly with mesh panel, but the TG will poke outwards about 1mm. The heat pipes will touch the TG.

      • It depends on your motherboard.

        • Currently using Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO. Not so sure about fitments for other mobos

          • @Jetfire: Sadly, this motherboard is the worst when it comes to fitting fans, so you will have issues with Fuma 2 and TG. Other than that, it is great motherboard.

            • @Mistredo: Yup, no TG is the sacrifice for better airflow

      • If you replace the motherboard standoffs with 1mm lower ones, it should fit without touching the glass panel. It works perfectly on my setup using an Asrock b550 phantom.

    • So it causes the TG panel on the NR200P to poke out?

Edit: Actually just realised if I wanted my GPU vertically mounted in the NR200P I'd only have 76mm workable space.

      • Correct haha. Since the heat pipes touch the TG

      • If you are looking for a good cooler for the nr200p, scythe has just released in Asia the MUGEN 5 black edition that SHOULD fit. I am thinking of getting it when it is more widely released (launches in USA next week I think). Here is the link, it looks pretty nice.

I have this cooler to replace the stock cooler for 3700x, its so quiet and almost silent. Its also smaller than the Noctua so it will fit my mid tower case

6pipes heatsink at 2nd lowest-priced. Id take it! Thank

I Have not Opened my Deepcool 360mm castle from

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/604633

Which would be better overral both noise & performance? Does anyone know the RAM clearance and Case Clearance for the Air Cooler.

Wouldn't be suprised if Air Cooler is Better.

    • The deepcool castle is one of the better AIO's isn't it? Good 360mm AIO's will generally outperform top end air coolers, pump noise can limit how quiet AIO's go, you can always replace the fans with something like Arctic P12's for not huge amounts of money and improve the cooler

Stock Scythe Final fans are very quiet, but don't go as fast as say noctua

  • This or liquid cooler for my 3700X?
I also need new thermal paste?

    • +2

it comes with a thermal paste and it does the job, my pc is cool and quiet

    • this is for less maintanance, aio for aesthetic. interms of noise should be similar

  • +5

Has been this price roughly (with swings cause of the dollar) for a while now, basically since Amazon started selling it. Good cooler, good price, but don't stress as this is basically the regular price not a sale

  • Just bought for my NR200. Can get a few extra bucks off by buying Amazon $100 gift card off shopback 2%.

    • Nice mate, may it serve you well.
