It's an amazing price for 120 of them
Yeah, especially this being TLC compared to EVO's MLC.
Maybe I'm wrong in believing that TLC<MLC.
EVO is also TLC
I was thinking of the 860, which according to the specs is MLC:

@bgazer: 3 bit MLC is TLC
MLC is multi layer cell so can mean 2 bit, 3 bit (TLC) or 4 bit (QLC) but generally means 2 bit unless specified otherwise
What am I missing? 1tb Samsung 860 Evo can be had for just over $100 after cash back ATM. Why is this double the price?
NAS drive, it has higher write life(double) compare to EVO.
Oh true did not realise the write life was that much higher. But surely this is not built for a NAS, it says it's for gaming. They also have ironwolf SSDs.
I think there is a similar spec on targeted for NAS as well which cost more from memory. Probs they just have different firmware compare to NAS drive but component probably the same. IMO for gaming drive, my SSD barely get much writes to after initial library download… so these higher write life kinda not really worth it for a gaming drive. This probably great for scratch drive for video/photo editors which goes through alot of projects.
edit: nevermind that ironwolf ssd which has even higher TBW.
is it 1st of April today?
Doesn't seem very good value considering we had a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 for ~$100 after cashback
