  Why are car chargers so much cheaper, with more variety available, than wall chargers?

    Car chargers dont need any 240v (normal house power) circuitry which is more expensive + 240v needs stricter safety regulations in aus too. Where as car chargers are just 12v stepped down to 5v aka easy and easily safe.
