Yes it's very good. It really should be listed as a long running deal. This is pretty much the best electric toothbrush you can get if you don't care for garbage Bluetooth stuff.
How does this model compare to the higher-priced sonicare models?

New York Times recommends the Pro 1000 (which isn't available in Aus anymore, however the Pro 2000 is basically the same but with a better battery that lasts 14 days and it's also a cracking price).

Yes, sometimes sold in the box as the Pro 2500. It's the same device but it comes with a carry case.
The carry case is just a plastic case that carries the toothbrush and two heads. It does not charge the case.
