Noticed that it was a bit cheaper than a recent popular deal.
Picked one up because you can't use your phone for GPS as a P-plater in NSW.

Unless you have the power cable with the traffic receiver in it . I bought the drive assist version of this and fortunately had an old Garmin that came with the traffic power cable so I just used that cable for the new unit. I think it costs around $99 to buy separately.
Anyone got ideas to use this on a motorcycle?
Maybe explore this
I purchased a bicycle phone holder from Kmart
https://www.kmart.com.au/product/bicycle-smart-phone-holder/…
which mounts to an aftermarket bracket that sits behind my windscreen. No issues/vibrations going 110km on the highway, got it plugged to a 12v USB socket charger next to my dash.
Why?
Don't - but get a centre tube RAM mount and suitable holder if you really want to. Garmin do a range of motorcycle GPS that are better on bikes.
For $600 though for motorcycle specific
I paid far less than that'
@crc32: But yes, one of these and a suitable mount would be cheaper.
i own one of these for past 4 mths …love it, it uses my phone while driving for traffic updates, does hands free phone calls and answers the, and when parked out the front of my house connects to home wifi to updates and it’s mounted on the windscreen always ready to go.
Take note have to pair with smartphone to use traffic feature, traffic receiver not included.
