  • No compensation if lost in transit? Are they allowed to do that?

Ehhhh China. PayPal dispute is what you'd do.

I guess if the stock is shipped from AU, should be covered by Auspost, or any courier :) bought a couple thanks Clear.

  • Can this bad boy charge a laptop?

    • +1

not MBP - it shows up as charging but detail battery status indicates 'plugged but not charging'

works alright for surface pro x

    • +2

I would normally recommend one that is 45W or higher.

      • +1

Any reliable ones you can recommend?

Xiaomi ZMI power banks tend to go on sale regularly and do it.

It terms of capacity and weight I recently got the Ravpower PD Pioneer 20000mah and that is a 60W powerbank. It's one of the lighter powerbanks but can still handle charging most laptops

        • +2

I've got 2 of the Kmart ones and they're solid for charging my MB, my S20, and my Canon EOS R. Made of a solid metal case.

          20,000 mAh, 45W from memory. 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C PD ports. $60.

You can probably find cheaper, but worth keeping in the back of your mind if you run out of battery nearby a Kmart as they come 50% charged.

Of course. Do you mean can it keep laptop battery from falling while in use? What laptop do you have? It depends.

    • I am late to the party, but I have a Romoss PPD20 50W 20k power bank (currently $45 on Amazon AU) and it's pretty good for the price.

Kogan have a $60 20k 87W PD (102W total) power bank that I have been eyeballing.
      And for $80, a 100W PD 27k power bank.

  • Anyone aware of lower capacity (10000mAh) power banks that are PD 20V capable? eg 30W. Need for a project.

    Cheers

Just be aware if buy anything from Banggood and its faulty, good luck trying to get help.

    • Have had a problem with a blitzwolf charger.

The want photos and a video.

Was easy, uploaded both via my complaint, then they responded by sending a new one.

Maybe its the luck of the draw on the product supplier to banggood. But blitzwolf is their moneymaking brand so that could be it.

Mine was the blitzwolf projector. Had a black dot on the picture out of the box. Sent videos and pictures. After numerous attempts, they want me to find a technician? They only compensate if the price is reasonable whatever that means. So much ring around and the response times is like days and been dragging out forever.

        • That's no good.

You were screwed badly, sorry to hear.

Maybe on smaller stuff they react more positively?

          • @quog: Yeah it was $250 so prob write it off. Def don't buy anything from them if its in the thousands though

            • @richmond12: I bought a (second) little 720P Blitzwolf projector from China (the first was from the Australian Warehouse), and the box was very banged up and it didn't even turn on. It had no padding beyond the box, so no wonder…

I contacted them and they were utterly useless. I did the video, pics, everything. I had even paid their shipping insurance.

They refused to honour their insurance guarantee, despite it saying I would have a replacement or refund organised within 1 business day! Whenever I asked about it, they simply did not respond, and would just repeat the same thing back to me about shipping it back to them.

They also tried to get me to find someone to repair it, or wanted me to pay to return it. I lodged a Paypal claim, but Paypal don't cover enough for shipping back to China, so I would be out of pocket.

So I lodged a chargeback with my credit card. Got my money back, didn't have to ship anything. Definitely I won't be ordering from Bangood again if it comes from China.

  • Thanks OP

  • Thanks OP bought one and hoping it will be good. I paid the 0.50c shipping insurance, which I am hoping will save me if it doesn't turn up.

  • Will this be a good pair for the new M1 macbooks? The Air, more specifically

    • +1

No. 18W is too low for charging. You'd want 45W or higher.

  • Thanks OP. Don’t forget to get a little bit extra with Cashrewards
