Quick search showed this is around the normal price. Suggest editing out the claimed price that it was.

I'd go the Soundpeats Truengine 3 SE, but no discounts at moment. I paid $47 for them about 2 weeks ago and they are better than my old Jabra 65T. Next up at the moment would be the Trueair2, but that has no ipx. Has the latest Qualcomm 3040 chipset though and is only $39.94 at moment, if you need something straightaway. The sonic is on sale too, and I tried them, but the microphone sucks so will be returning those.

Honestly, these are pretty good, there are plenty of competitors but having used them on and off for about 6 months, I would buy them again sub $50 - I paid $85 from Gearbest.

    Things that are good
    1. Speed to connect - they literally connect instantly and work neat with Android (Pixel 4 XL and 5)
    2. Battery charge from the case - I know this is commonplace, but its damn handy - also the case charges wirelessly
    3. Battery life - its fairly strong, I use them a lot for work conference calls etc… they are road warrior friendly
    4. Hardy - I've dropped them, kids chewed them, got them wet etc… they're still going strong

Summary - There are probably other cheaper/better options out there now …but sometimes you stick with something that 'does the job' for fear of experimenting with an alternate, potentially inferior outcome.

  • any motorcyclists found any good bluetooth buds? have tried dozens including airpods, all drop out crackle etc, guessing interference from bike electronics…

I’ve got some QCY TC2 earbuds and they fit in my ears/helmet comfortably while riding and I’ve had no interference issues however my bike doesn’t have high tech electronics (the way I like it ;))

Haven’t used them for calls though as I expect the sound would be terrible on any Bluetooth buds given the location of the speaker on them.

      • thanks , will check out
