How are the keycaps and keystrokes? Are they 'scratchy'? I have a Coolermaster MK730 and I find the key strokes to be scratchy (the caps felt thin and cheap); changed the keycaps to 'pudding' ones, which made a tiny improvement. I had 3 other MX Brown equipped keyboards, and the Leopold in the office has virtually no scratchy-ness. My old Ducky 5 had a less scratchy experience (but was still there).
I'm not that experienced with mechanical keyboards, but I have never felt anything I would describe as being 'scratchy' or cheap, while using this keyboard. It uses genuine Cherry MX Brown switches, and I personally can't fault them. The quality (particularly for the price), I would say is excellent.
My Leopold was $140, basic keyboard (no lights!), but has nice keycaps (double shot?). I put o-rings under the caps to make them a tad squishy/quieter.
Did the same with the Ducky 5 and my current Coolermaster.
If you ever get a chance, try typing on a Corsair K-series for comparison (I regret not buying K70).

No, I don't have any dislikes with the keyboard itself. The only thing I would complain about is the Alienware software. But, once you learn it's quirks, it does the job.
The key caps are just black plastic, with clear characters and symboles to allow the back lighting through.
can you reprogram the 3 multimedia keys above the numpad?
Not that I'm aware of, no.
Any pitfalls of this model to watch out for?
