Is This a Decent Price for a PC with These Specs?

Hi,
Haven't built a PC in years and haven't been keeping up with current PC tech. I'm planning on building a $2400 gaming PC which has the following specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x with Noctua NH-D15 cooler
  • GPU: Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3070
  • Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 M.2 1TB
  • RAM: Patriot Viper Steel 2x8GB 3600MHz DDR4 CL18
  • Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Elite B550 AX V2
  • PSU: Corsair RM750x
  • Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2

Do you think this is a good price? Are there any components that don't really suit each other?
Thanks!

Looks decent at least, nothing sticks out as massively wrong

  • If they are brand new prices, then it looks fine.

    • Not sure why you're getting downvoted. Looks to be just under RRP.
Waiting for all the "its nOT IN SToCk" comments.

  • For parts that's not my cup of tea:

    Storage: Western Digital Blue SN550 M.2 1TB

Research "Cold Data", although it was meant to be fixed in future firmware, but I'd like Samsung instead, even if it's the 970 Evo non plus. SN550 is decent if you don't mind shuffle your Windows and other data every few years.

    RAM: Patriot Viper Steel 2x8GB 3600MHz DDR4 CL18

    16G isn't a lot. c18 isn't fast either(don't get me wrong it's not slow, just not fast)
I'd buy 16G*2, 3600c17 or 3600c16, or something that is able to OC to that. hint: Micron 16Gbit RevB can be found in Corsair V3.43 or v3.44, ask your local PC store sales nicely, newer corsair 32G 3200 vengeance lpx may come with those.

Mobo: Gigabyte Aorus Elite B550 AX V2

the mATX version of the Elite are using discrete mosfet (1x highside 4C10N + 2x lowside 4C06N) so I'd only get it if it's a bit lower than $140.
the ATX version has okay power delivery but it's a 4 layer PCB which isn't great on Memory OC, plus B550m Mortar from MSI has better power delivery, 4 layer PCB with similar price.
(either power delivery should drive 5600x no issue what so ever, even with some OC, my point is you should get different better board for similar price)

    Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2

So expensive for a case. consider Phantek p400a rgb cost $60 less and has as good of an airflow, with RGB fans you can turn on and off too.

I like the rest of the selection.

    Could Be Better…

  • It's really hard to get a 5600x… 3070s are $200 more expensive now than 2 months ago.

Rest of the build looks okay to me.

  • I've got a Gigabyte 3070 and its not great and keeping cool (mine is the Vision, the white one). They really cheaped out on the thermal pads.

I see pretty common compliants online for all Gigabyte cards this generation.

I'd suggest picking another triple fan one with a more open design.
