The cheapest I have seen it so far for the new 870 generation. It's a good option if you don't have m.2 slot and don't want to use an enclosure.

Pretty sure the Crucial P2 is TLC while the P1 is QLC. Both are dramless
Is P2 TLC? Even better then!
I was under the assumption that the P2 is QLC, but lo and behold, its actually TLC. Makes it a pretty good deal, though the lack of dram may be an issue for some workloads/situations
The Crucial P1 with QLC has Dram, the P2 with TLC is Dramless, at least from all the info i can find online anyway.
This is a very good price. I'd buy one if I needed it.
Man when are we going to get high capacity (10TB+) and affordable SSDs that we were told would be here 4 years ago
Not until the entire supply chain can wring every cent from each gradual step up in capacity
Anyone tried this for the PS4?
I used a Samsung 860 EVO in a PS4 Pro, don't see why the 870 wouldn't work.
pulled the trigger
my order isn't showing up yet in the account
I'll let you know how it goes
Nand flash prices have been dropping lower and lower which is good for buyers so long as supply keeps up.
Would a nvme pcie around the same price be faster/better?
"Paying by Paypal will also incurs a 3% surcharge on top of your total cost."
LOL. Get stuffed.
You do know that they pay 2.6% + $0.30 on a transaction, right?
Waiting for it to drop to 860 Evo prices
does budget pc do free shipping if you spend over a certain amount?
Good price for the EVO, usually it's the QVO at this sort of price.
Not as fast as NVMe, but fine for bulk storage. That said, a QLC NVMe M.2 drive is likely faster in most day-to-day applications (save for constant bulk writes) and is cheaper, e.g. https://www.amazon.com.au/Crucial-NAND-NVMe-PCIe-2400MB/dp/B…
An NVMe M.2 TLC drive, which is basically better in every metric is not that much more, e.g. https://www.amazon.com.au/XPG-SX8200-Gen3x4-3000MB-ASX8200PN…
All this means is that SSDs are getting cheaper!
