Noise Cancelling Headphones

Hi

I am looking for a pair of noise cancelling headphones, I need them mainly for air travel, I am not a audiophile and will be watching video more the listening to music.

From all reviews the Bose QuietComfort 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones seem to be the best fit for my needs;

Block out the highest amount of background noise with a reasonable sound quality.

Are there any good prices out there post xmas and are there any alternatives I should be considering?

    Could try the creative aurvana x-fi, think they were good. For about $100 from the creative site http://au.store.creative.com/headphones-headsets/aurvana-x-f…, I've got the live ones which are good for movies.

    Haven't tried the Bose QC15s, but I own a pair of Creative Aurvana X-fi ANC. I've got pretty similar needs in that I only wanted it for flights to block out background noise and I'm not an audiophile.

    The Aurvana's work great for me, NC is good, the other features I don't use. For $100 can't really go wrong!
