Hey guys,

Saw this post on a Xbox-related Twitter account this morning and thought I'd share.

You can get a 12 month Xbox Live code for $39.99 USD at Amazon while stocks last. You must have a US address assigned to your Amazon account, but Australian credit cards work fine. You can opt for online delivery at checkout and receive the code for free instantly on Amazon. I have bought the code myself and can verify it works on an Aussie Xbox.

I know there have been a few good 14 month deals around, but this one seemed pretty good as well for the price.

      You guys do realise it's fraudulent to use a false address to qualify for a purchase? And you do know that fraud is a criminal offense? Not worth the risk.

        Personally I couldn't care that it's potentially illegal and I would still do it if I wanted it.

    It worked for me, my XBL settings say my subscription now expires in January 2013.

    If it doesn't work for you, then perhaps the problem is between the controller and the couch :P haha

  i am new to this ( i am a psn user because it is free). when you "activate" the 12 months membership, you dont need an us address, right? you only need a us address to purchase the membership from amazon, right? for $40, i dont lose much if i dont play my xbox much. the only games i got on xb (and still keep) are GOW3 and MotoForza 3.

      Yes i added my brother in laws real one in Seattle WA for the shipping address
      but my billing address is still my AU one

      Even changing the Billing address to Seattle made no difference??

        It goes off your 'one-click' address. Try selecting online delivery from the product page, then changing the address when prompted.

        Yes. XBOX Live Gold codes are region free, so it will work on an Australian XBOX Live account.

        Points codes are region locked but this is not a points code.
