Bought the red medium one from Anaconda some time back, sturdy and tough, the included netted bag is also great as it let me pack the bag, buy loads of things overseas, then store into the duffel.

Sorry, those prices on rolling thunder are pretty sharp already. They cost a lot to ship and we don't pass on that charge.
I imported the bag from the UK for 187 pounds a couple of years ago and thought that was bargain at the time. Rushfaster price seems pretty close.

I have a sm and med, tbh i prefer to have 1 compartment for everything. The side pocket just pokes into the main compartment, so imo it's kind of redundant.

+1 for these bags. Have 2 small and one large for 10 years. One is cracking along material at some points, but the others are fine.
Ya it's an unfortunate problem with TPE laminates, they are tough as hell for many years but eventually UV damage can lead to cracking/splits.
My duffel is around the same thickness (950D TPE/1500D nylon base) and is virtually spotless after 2 years - though Covid cut the wear down a lot last year.

Considering airlines' minimal enforcement of carry-on, worst case you may be directed to a baggage sizer - into which it will fit quite satisfactorily. My family has travelled the world with these small Base Camp Duffels - they are always allowed as carry-on, can be stuffed into your footwell or if needed, checked into the hold.

And I've seen plenty of people get knocked back for bag sizing, they have to then pay gate-rates or go without.
