They have confirmed there will be "no new switch in 2021" (confirmed at their most recent shareholder meeting)
That's not what they said actually, a new version is possible this year but unlikely this early.

I saw something online saying Nintendo had recently renewed trademarks on Phantom Hourglass - a remaster of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks with the same engine as Link's Awakening would be awesome
I have seen Banjo-Kazooie available on xbox, but it was an online purchase. I assume that the rights don't belong to nintendo, but I don't actually know how it all went down.
Microsoft bought out the developer (Rare) and now has the rights to it's IPs including Banjo-Kazooie
My wish is for BotW2 to be released with Switch Pro, possibly 2022.
Given it's Zelda's 35th Anniversary, I am hoping for a remaster pack similar to the 3D Mario pack, hoping for SS,TP and WW
Metroid prime is still in development announcement is enough for me.
Least likely on my wish list is a good mainline pokemon game that has emphasis on exploration and discovery with minimal hand holding.

BOTW2 has already been announced so likely they show something and Sinnoh remakes would likely be held til the Pokemon direct on the 27th for Pokemon Day

1 game has leaked and there is a likely guess for the smash character as someone predicted Sephiroth and subsequent characters.Certainly some sort of Zelda collection(s), a trailer for Bravely Default 2 & new Smash fighter (hoping for Crash).
Their sizzle reel would probably include Monster Hunter: Rise, Overcooked! All You Can Eat, Crash 4 & Lego Star Wars.Hopefully the new Kirby game is shown, which was previously confirmed in interviews.
And like anyone, I want things related to Metroid, DK & Kid Icarus for their anniversaries, a Dragon Quest collection, Kingdom Hearts & Persona ports.One possibility is that they end it with BOTW 2 coming this year & maybe another game announcement after that (hopefully, but probably not MP4).

It will be a disappointment.
But eventually a new Switch model will be released this year. Never trust what Nintendo says, it will come. I have been following the company financials for 3 years, always expect the opposite of what they say.
Think about it. If they say a new console comes out, what's going to happen? Console sales drop.

No, you cannot with overcooked or snipper clips. I would say a lot of non competitive co-ops are couch multiplayer rather than online multiplayers.
If you have a 3DS, Four Swords is good. That definitely has online coop where you can join random people. Not sure how many people would still be playing though.

What's everyone's thought on the direct?
Not too bad, I was hoping for a Zelda 3D All Stars of sorts similar to Mario with Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask and Wind Waker.
Same here with the Zelda 3D All star. We got SS which was one that I never got around to and button controls! Would be keen on OoT and MM with updated switch graphics too. 3DS versions were great, but 1080p would have been better.
Not much interesting for me. Was hoping for at least one of the following:
- BOTW2 info / release date
- Metroid Prime 4 update
- Metroid Prime Trilogy bundle
- Switch Pro announcement
- N64 Mini hardware
- N64 / GC games for Nintendo Online
