Looking for a cheap as chips Android phone to use for Work. Nothing too fancy, mainly to make outgoing calls, and some income calls. To also to run facebook & instagram in case anyone messages the work social media account. Cheaper the better, so long as it works without being too frustratingly laggy.

looks good!
Locked to Telstra unless you're with them. Pay extra cash to unlock
ahh…that won't work then. Sim with with amaysim, which is optus network
Wouldn't pay less than about $200 for a phone. Snapdragon 660 or better. You are really looking at Oppo A52, POCO M3, Nokai 5.3 etc.
If you are responsible for the company's social media, should company provide a decent phone?
The MO of companies these days. BYO everything, can't afford to provide; claim it on tax but are cashed up
It's my own small business. Why spend more if you don't need to?
Employee retention. Too many businesses are now going towards casualisation hence "supply upon demand rationale". Therefore many have other interests and business on the side to fill in the gap and commitment is compromised. You pay for what you get
errr… I think you missed the point and the size our business. All we need is an additional phone, mainly to use to make out going calls while at work. I don't think my staff will really care if it's a better phone or not. So long as it's not frustrating slow to use. It's not like they are taking it home for personal use. We get occasional random PM on our social media account (its not our main channel of communication), so I want something that will give us a notification when something comes in.
