  • I never knew Civ was on switch.

  • Im guessing these are the full games

    • Looks like you need to buy the full base game first (also 67% off from $89.95 down to $29.68) then buy these expansions.

    • You'll need the Civ 6 base game - also on sale on eShop, but I would wait for regular bettter sales for the physical version of the base game from Amazon.

  • Still more than the base game price during the Amazon Prime sale unfortunately.

They did a decent job with the UI on civ6 on the switch. Though on the smaller lite screen you'll be wishing for its bigger brother or TV output.

    • I found the control on the Switch to be much more efficient than using a mice on PC, once you get use to the UI. I found myself playing on Switch much more than on my PC now that I have the game on both.

Also, there's now a cloud save feature, that means you can play your PC saves on the Switch and vise versa. Which I think is an awesome feature!

  • Wow I didn't realise they were nickel and diming this one.

By the time you add the base game and the two expansion packs, even on sale this isn't cheap.

    • The games been as low as $15 and is regularly on sale at Amazon for a very low price (around or under $20). I don’t think it’s that expensive really, and is pretty close to on par with what you’d likely pay on PC.

      • 15 +23.98+44.96 (there's two dlc) is about $84. And that's on sale at equal lowest prices ever. That's a lot of money for a game.

          Not especially.

It’s close to what many games cost new before you add in DLC or a season pass. There’s been deals posted today for $60 base releases of titles. The DLC is entirely optional and you can buy it later if you exhaust the main game, which comes with a good chunk of the DLC included in the price that wasnt there for the PC launch. We’re also talking a title which for fans is one of the most replaceable franchises of all time and the base game will probably be sufficient for many to get 100s of hours out of if they want.

The New Frontier DLC pack isn’t that old either. It’ll probably drop to the same $24 or so price at some point just as this pack has.

          • @Smigit: sorry, I meant replayable, not replaceable.

I think most people will get a lot of gameplay with just the base game + this expansion pack ($15+$24). Most people will skip the DLCs unless you are a hardcore fan. I don't have the Frontier pass so not sure if it is worth it or not.
