    Free money yes :)

    • How is this better than the $10/$10 referral?

      • My bad, just woke up and didnt read t&c properly. First user only. Guess it was too good to be true.

  • For new customers only

  • +3

First Tap & Zip transaction ever or first one during promo period?

  • "2. You must be using the Tap & Zip card for the first time;"

    I gather first time ever.

    • +9

This is my interpretation too. If they are sending this communication out to all customers including those who have previously used “tap and zip” this is an incredibly deceptive promotion.

      • I agree!

      • A very lazy/amateur marketing effort on their part.

  • I used Tap & Zip during the 10% off Dec deal
I also received this promotion email this morning but I can't find the offer in the app
it's probably for first Tap & Zip transaction ever only

    • Probably? It literally says precisely that in the T&Cs.

    • No email for me, and can't find it in app. Maybe targeted? Never used tap&zip.

      • Never used it. No email. No reference in the app.

for those who have received the email can you also confirm that there's a reference to it in the app?

  • Can It be updated to 1st time users as for most its useless ?

  • What do you tap with? Credit card or a QR code on your zippay app?

  • This Offer is subject to the following conditions:

    1. The transaction must be made using your Tap & Zip card during the Offer Period;

    2. You must be using the Tap & Zip card for the first time;

    and

The Tap & Zip card means the virtual Visa credit card provisioned to your Apple Pay or Google Pay wallet that can be used for in-store transactions

I have high hopes, but I would feel better if there was something more showing in my actual account. I think this is the first time use of the generated card (which I've never done before). I also hope it might be usable on an ebay checkout? Some people had a previous promo working for a checkout on gift cards bought online when it was clearly the 'tap&go' in-store eligibility that we all rorted legitimately used.

    • disregard above, you won't get it if you interpret it that way.

Pump that share price, pump it!

  • Step 1: Sign up as new user.

Step 2: Use $10 to buy a share in Z1p.

    Step 3: ???

    Step 4: Profit

anyone had luck getting the cashback if already used Tap and Zip before?

    • no, you won't get it (confirmed via zip support).

      • Dang it, I wonder why they even bother marketing it to those who aren't new only to out it in the T&C to exclude a whole section of people.

      • I actually got it! hahah. Saw it today as a credit of $10 for 'valentines day cashback'. Looks like Mr Zip was a good valentine after all.

  • Targeted

    • No it is not targeted, all new sign ups will be able to use this offer.

        1. You must have received a direct invitation from Zip (either in the App or via email);
  • Can’t even see whereabouts in the app to refer people :(

  • Guys i joined up zip pay to take advange a month or so ago to gain the 10% cashback they was giving and also new account cashback as well.
Looking at my account today im charged $6 fee at the end of jan i thought this was interest free as long as you paid what it takes each month, i had also made an additional payment. I could easy pay it off but was not in rush as was interest free anyway but looks like its not.
    Any idea what's going on

    • For purchases made in Dec, you need to pay it off before end of Jan, otherwise there is interest

      • Do you have to manually calculate what the purchases in Jan add up to? Or as long as you pay the "next payment due", then there's no monthly account fee? Or should people just practice paying everything off to bring the balance back up to maximum?

I'm new to zip as well, and forgot how credit cards work lol

        • You should get a statement at the start of the month with details of last month's purchases.

This is what I got at the start of Feb

Subject: Your Zip Pay statement is now available

          Your January summary
Check out your Zip Pay transactions,
          repayments and more.

          transactions 3

          closing balance $0.00

          min. $0.00 due 28 Feb

The closing balance is what you need to pay off to NOT be charged any interest/additional fees.

          • @CodeXD: will they email me the statement? I just installed the app after the 10% cashback.

            • @jjj123: I just double checked and the email I received had a summary of my purchase from the previous month, and a link to the statement (which opened in zip app). So at minimum you should get an email saying statement is available.

      • I have used aftetpay and if you wanted its spread over 8 weeks.
I had no idea if you dont pay in full in that month your charged a fee.
When i signed up for zip i assumed there was no fee, and as long as you paid the amount each money they set all was good.
Item i purchased was on a deal from a store and who i then had priced match from another store which was better for for me.
Zip also had every saturday 10% cashback so did that the once and added to it to make up the $300 required spend to get it.
Also did a new account sign up to get $15 paid into my account. So in the end i had $45 off.
I noticed you could pay any amount anytime but still have to pay the amount they set.
So paid $100. I have had one $40 payment taken and happened to look at if i remember account summary or activity and that's when i seen the fee.

I only signed up for this to gain the 10% off and new account $15 paid and had i known there was a fee i would have paid this within the month.
I had no idea your supposed to pay within that month.
I still gained from it by getting 10% back on $300 spend and $15 new account but had i know the $6 fee i sure would have paid it last month.

Good job i checked this out as in 15 days time i would have been charged another $6.

To be honest afterpay is way better than this if you want to spread payments put not sure what the appeal is for this.

    • Its admin fee. You will be charge as long your account got balance by the end of the month. After 3 months then you will get interest + admin fee. Best way is to pay weekly and set a reminder 1-2 days before end of the month, pay the balance in full if you dont want inccur admin fee.

      • Afterpay is way better get you get charged each 2 weeks, so over 6 weeks. it used to be no charge upfront and every two weeks after so 8 weeks.
And dont pay a cent more unless you miss or not able to pay.
This took me by surprise the admin fee, ok yes i scored a 10% cashback they had but its no longer around and yes i did get $15 being new to zip.

But dont see any point with it now unless i want upto a month to pay something back which i suppose is ok but apart from that its not as good.

Not sure why i thought it was fee free.

        • Afterpay is not better, Zippay is for those who want flexibility in how they repay and also be able to apply that on any purchase whether on the net or in physical stores of their choosing. It's like a credit card but with very generous terms. You can also tell it's a matter of time that Zippay introduce pseudo cashreward like features.

Afterpay has zero benefit expect marginally longer payment terms, if that is what you want then sure. I generally feel that is useless and just an annoyance.

FYI there's a setting on the zip pay website which was added recently for avoiding fees where it will auto pay whatever amount needs to be paid at the end of the month to avoid any fees.

  • Just checked and I ended up getting this credit… so it wasn’t just for new customers

    • +1

      I received this credit too

    • me too!
