They are intended to be soft, for distance running. Originally, they were meant to be the softest shoes that Nike made, aside from the Vomero. I think these have now been surpassed by the NEXT% line.
I think if I could run in them, they would only last around 3 months (and I don't run heaps!)
I've got the Pegasus 33, that I've had since 2017, that I run/walk in regularly, and are only just now ready to replace. You might have had a shoddy pair?
As Plimsol mentioned, they are supposed to be on the softer side for running. Although tbh - I'd argue they are more suited to every day walkers rather than running. Just a heads up - these are the Gore-tex variant, rather than traditional Pegasus 36 (think they are up to 37 now) models.
Product description from Footlocker is misleading, this is the Nike Pegasus Trail 2 GORE-TEX, which is a different shoe to the standard Pegasus (latest being the Peg 37)
Co-sign. This is a good price for the Trail Goretex version, though.
Nice; picked them up. Cheers OP
Wouldn't get gore tex trail running shoes unless running in cold weather and/or you don't intend on running through creeks/ puddles.
Black is the same price direct from Nike if you don't like the colourful colourway. Most sizes still available

Black version if you’re interested! https://www.nike.com/au/t/zoom-pegasus-36-trail-gore-tex-tra…
Anyone else find the base of the Pegasus line to be really soft? I don't even run in mine and they've lasted about 6 months of intermittent use, nearly worn thru the sole. Compared to Kayanos that I actually run in and last around a year or more.
