How does this compare to the normal Markers Mark, is it a similar profile?
I really can't stand a lot of bourbons but I don't mind the normal Maker's Mark, be interested to give this a go but I don't want to be stuck with another bottle I just don't want to drink, already got some Buffalo Trace here for that.

yep definitely better than the normal one.
As h2g2 says, it is much better. Also, the higher ABV means if you want ice you can put a cube in it without watering it down too much. If you consider ice in whisky some sort of sacrilige, I'd suggest a teaspoon of water to open it up a bit.
