Great prices for the Thief games. Still great to play and I believe there are mods around improving the aged graphics.

The story makes more sense if you play through them linearly, but Thief (particularly Thief Gold) has some not-so-great missions so I'd start with Thief 2 personally - great atmosphere and some stellar open levels. Deadly Shadows was a big let-down back in the day (not designed by Looking Glass, fewer open levels, etc.) so I'd play it last.

The Thief 2 HD texture mod is a pretty nice upgrade.
