they just advertising… dont worry let them do that few more times and ozb will ban them.
they thought good marketing by posting it, actually the opposite now you will be known as "expensive / so so shop that just doing advertising at ozb how dare them - lets go buy from other shops"
"ONLY 99" sounds like something they would yell at me in the markets.
this is the "The Meat Emporium"
The Meat Emporium vs. Australian Meat Emporium … the latter being the one you'd go to
The names are so similar…
$50/kg is actually not too bad for Rangers Valley wagyu. I say thats whilst assuming that its this sub brand (https://www.rangersvalley.com.au/infinite/) considering the description mentions full blood wagyu. I've had the WX (not full blood) from rangers before and it was the best steak I've ever had, and it was $80/kg (porterhouse).
Also, I assume this cut of rump will include the rump cap, which is quickly becoming a favourite cut amongst steak lovers, so to say your eye fillet is better is purely a matter of preference.
So yeah, not all wagyus are the same, and whilst this isnt a cracking deal, its still something of a deal.
2nd that.
Been getting from TME and their wagyu are not bad. Only downside is their 2 or 3kg size. Need the whole village to finish them :)
I am always willing to help out a fellow ozbargainer in need
It is for MS5. I got the 3kg for $150 from one of the meat emporiums and that was MS7. Was incredible tasting. I'd want $30 for anything of a lesser score.
OP, can u use waygu on sushi?
Get karubi cuts.
Can just buy a slicer, rumps are always on clearance at my local supermarket as avg person doesn’t want to spent $30 on 1 meal.

Precut hotpot meat is expensive, you make your money back in a few months
gyu tataki?
Meh, I get marble 9 Wagyu rump for $29/kg in Brisbane. Not rangers valley but still.
Where? That was a thing during the lockdown but haven't seen that price since maybe May?
edit: Found some here - https://www.facebook.com/cc2e.northside/
Is that where you get yours? My friend manages a good well known bris butcher and he can't buy near that price let alone sell for profit.
I'm dubious :-D Would love to know where you're getting yours and how you rate it. Thanks!
Yep I use that guy. I think prices are still the same atm. Got a box of chuck crest off him on Friday in fact. Have used him previously for rumps, the only issue being you have to cut and vacuum seal yourself but rump is fairly easy to cut.
I had gotten better deals last year during the pandemic though, Mb 5 wagyu sirloin at $17.99/kg (at Jack Purcells) and Mb 9 Robbins Island Rump at $20/kg (at Low and Slow co).
Appreciate the info. Will give him a try and see how it goes. Cutting and sealing is a slight PITA but to save $15-20/kg I guess it's worth it.
Might need to finally invest in that chest freezer….
I got their last deal on the MS9 Wagyu.
Amazing rump.
Is this much better?

Doesn't tell me anything about the meat, the marble.
Dubious at best
I'm jealous. Need some good prices Wagyu sellers here in Melbourne!
follow the meat-inn place on facebook - they post deals a few times a week, quite often for high quality wagyu
Didnt Nusa food post their deals here too a while back?
That sounds expensive to me. I often get Waygu eye fillet (much better cut) from Havericks, Vics Meats (Mascot) or The Australian Meat Emporium (Alexandria) for that price.
