Can't remember how much I paid for mine, but can certainly vouch for the quality of the product. Only thing is that you need to research carefully the type of micro SD card you need. Often if you buy the wrong type, or don't format it correctly, the camera will either not accept the card, or on occasion it will singularly beep while driving, which means recording was stopped and now restarted after a period of time. In my experience, you can miss up to 1 minute of footage when the dreaded beep occurs.
My recommendation is to always reformat the card using this tool (https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/) whenever you take it out to download footage. After buying the right card and using that tool every now and then, you will have no issues.
I ought a Samsung EVP 128GB. Seems to be working okay.

Interesting, the Viofo website says the A129 cable isn't compatible with the Plus model. Wonder what the difference is.

What's involved in installing it? Is it possible to damage your car electrics etc?
Only if you use parking mode.
Be aware that Viofo are slow / non-existant on updating and fixing problems in both current and previous model firmware. Parking mode is still a mess and unreliable on latest firmwares. See Dashcamtalk forums for info.
So do all other dashcams in the high-end range, you will never find a perfect product that has no issues whatsoever.
Viofo is a serious brand of dashcam IMO.

I used the 3M Extreme double sided tape for the front cam and it worked well.
Should work for the rear cam as well.

I bought mine a month ago. I find it hard connecting the app to my camera…it almost never does.
Is there a trick to it or is everyone struggling?Switch on airplane mode and try again?

Hopefully the Plus fixed some issues. I run 128gb SanDisk high endurance and regularly get a pop up asking to confirm to format my card when I haven't touched the unit.
Parking mode either records the whole time or is patchy. Actually had someone open my tray and the unit missed it but will then start recording minutes afterwards for no apparent reason.Does hard wiring dash cams really damage your car battery? Not a credible seller this ShoppingSquare. I wouldn't buy anything from them, hardly any positive reviews online for this seller. Seems very dodgy.
And while offering a good discount, they might actually ship an inferior model that wouldn't cost them as much. You wouldn't know if you're getting the product you're paying for. Also, there could be massive shipping delays as this will most likely come from China. I wouldn't trust their word even if they said this was 'in stock'.
I am amazed they're even allowed to trade in Australia. Even Fair Trading people couldn't get in touch with them coz there's no contact information. No customer service contact number or email. Very very dodgy supplier.
